I'm going to do a little bit of a breakdown and how much it cost me just in a couple of months of living in Georgia for veterinarian care. I broke out the calculator added up all the veterinary bills in the two and a half months we've been here. I repeat this is only in two and a half months... imagine my yearly veterinarian bills and that's just for the veterinarian bills this doesn't include embark testing AKC DNA testing. Or any other health testing. This is just basic veterinarian care. Doesn't include the cost of food or any other care that they need. So when I tell you that I do this because I can because I have a husband that makes really really good money. I'm not joking. This is a hobby for me there isn't any type of financial benefit from this it is just sheer love for this breed. I have a passion for them and I absolutely adore them. I put a lot of effort money and time into my babies this isn't a job it is a hobby it is a passion. Anyone ever tells you that this is a business for them you need to run because if they are making actual money there's a problem. Anyways I hope everyone has a wonderful day feel free to chat with me I am a housewife. I got nothing better to do besides play with my puppies and clean.

Opinions are needed here. A breeder in Idaho was murdered and his pups stolen. What would you do if you're a breeder would you continue to allow visits or would you only do meet ups? Safety concerns here.

One of the hardest parts of being a breeder is letting go of some of your dogs. I'm choosing carefully who my dogs go to, but it hurts my heart to let Cosmo go on Saturday. He'll have a great life, but I'll miss his big smile. Some might say I'm selfish for letting him go, but I think it's selfless because it hurts me to do so. I cannot keep all of them and I don't want to be the kind of person who makes the news for having 30 dogs running around. I have a limit of 10 as a small, hobby breeder. I am always willing to let people come visit with precautions.
