Good Morning PAH Daycare Clients!
Our Kennel Staff would like to ask you all to use your best judgment when deciding to bring your pups to school on extremely frigid days such as the ones we are having this week. We have had to do very short let out times as the ice and snow in our yards have been causing dogs to lay down, limp/favor paws and sometimes wince with pain after even just a minute outside. We have heat inside our playrooms, but due to having multiplt dogs we do have to open our door often for potty breaks. Thank you for your understanding and we hope you all stay warm❤️

We are excited to announce that we have a new groomer on staff and are ready to start scheduling grooming appointments again! Carol is coming to us with years of grooming experience and is excited to meet your pets. Grooming appointments are available as a drop off in the morning to stay for the day or for a designated appointment time. Hello friends and family of PAH! Near year, new donations! We are currently specifically asking for throw blankets, full or twin XL sized comforters, and any sort of cat garage/hideout. We have reached our limit on towels, fitted sheets, pillow cases, king sized comforters and hand towels. Feel free to drop them off on either our vet side or daycare and boarding. Thank you again! We appreciate all that you guys do for us 🩷

It is with great sadness that the staff at Pembroke Animal Hospital had to say goodbye to our beloved hospital cat Hogan. He had been with us for 16 years. When he came to us as a big adult tom cat, technician Shay named him Hogan (think Hulk Hogan) due to his beefy appearance. Hogan was always a good sport, (he tolerated being dressed up A LOT) and he loved to be involved in everything which made him a fun hospital cat. Many clients may remember Hogan coming into appointments to graciously demonstrate how to pill a cat, do nail trims, administer fluids, etc. He loved to meet clients and new people to the hospital. There was a grace period with Hoagie, after which his cattitude would come out and he'd swipe without warning. He loved to insert himself into whatever staff we're doing, especially computer or paperwork. His favorite things were: kittens, unattended food, sunbathing, bird watching, and napping on soft blankets/staff coats/paper products/hospital supplies and, of course, he never let a good box go to waste (his "garage"). In his younger days, he'd earn his keep by mousing and leaving the staff morning "presents." Hogan was never a fan of dogs and was fearless. A classic Hoagie shenanigan would be playing stowaway in patient carriers. He even made it to reception once. Staff nicknames include: Hoagies and Grinders! Hoagster, Hoagie Bear, Hog. Hoagie's special person was of course The Cat Whisperer, Jean. Hogan is survived by his wife Glade. They shared a love of all kittens that came into the hospital.
