The Andalite Bandits are accepting adoption applications!

These pups have been SO FUN and will do amazing in active homes prepared to fulfill them both mentally and physically. While some are more tenacious than others, no one will be happy as a couch potato!

The Andalite Bandits are four weeks old today! They're moving and playing a lot more now, and beginning to show interest in toys. They're starting to respond to a puppy call for mealtimes and doing great when offered a mixture of wet food and goat milk. It's been so interesting (and entertaining) watching their little personalities start to come out!

The pups will be available for adoption through once they're old enough to leave mom and siblings. They will be adopted to individual homes, and will go on neuter contracts to allow their puppy bodies and minds time to fully develop. Mom will also be available for adoption once pups are weaned and she is able to be spayed.

Momma Kat and her Andalite Bandits have landed! Mom is about 3 years old and 40lbs, babies were born 1/21/25 so they're only a couple weeks old at present. They'll be raised with puppy culture and placed through Australian Cattle Dog Rescue Association (ACDRA) when old enough, and mom will also be looking for her home once she's done raising her babies and is able to be spayed. Expect lots of posts as they all settle in and grow, and follow their highlight reels on my Instagram page for puppy spam!

Make way villainy! Heroes coming through!

Minsc and Boo will be available for adoption in the coming weeks through Australian Cattle Dog Rescue Association (ACDRA)! These two nuggets are quickly opening up here in foster. Minsc is an energetic and bouncy, while Boo is a bit more reserved and sensitive. At about 14wks old both boys have a lot of learning and growing to do!

Goodboy Yabbo is still looking for the right home! He's been a super fast learner and picks up on things very quickly. Leash manners are starting to come along, and he has a clear understanding of verbal training markers. If you're looking for a pint-sized active companion, check him out!

Yabbo is ready to meet his new family!

Welp it's now official. I gave up looking for the right home and decided she'll just stay here. It's the one year anniversary of her arrival here; including the six or so months she spent in a prior foster, this kid has spent more time as a foster dog than as someone's pet. She deserves better than that.

I've always given my dogs new names, typically when they first get here, but never renamed her due to the circumstances around her arrival (and because she wasn't a dog I planned on having stick around lol). About a month ago I started shopping around for a fitting new name as all signs pointed to the right adopter never coming along for her. Today I reintroduce the pupper formerly known as Ellie: Detta!

She's a forspecial little s**t, but a welcome addition to my little ka-tet. I look forward to continuing to work with her: hoping to earn her GRC SR1 title next year, and to continue building up her trail manners with more backpacking and hiking trips. Maybe we'll explore dock diving some more, maybe I'll finally find an excuse to get into herding/treibball; we'll see what the future holds for us further along the path 🌹
