Replacing the rotted top poles
Bug is wrapping up her last month of training with us. Bittersweet! But she is ready to go in any direction.
First time dressed up English. Stunning! Thanks Abbie Briscoe
There is not a day that goes by that we aren't grateful for the land that this farm resides on and its role in the health and wellness of our horses, our cattle, and our community! Getting to watch these guys run and play is always such a gift.
Get your cow fix here at GF!
Last Friday we picked up 20 head of angus cattle.

A little tutorial on the new way we are taking clinic deposits this year!
āØIām very excited to officially introduce NZN Horsemanship to the Gelinas Farm community!āØ (give a like and follow!)
A year ago my husband and I acquired Gelinas Farm. With that, we opened the books for NZN Horsemanship, DBA Gelinas Farm. And itās been an amazing ride!
NZN Horsemanship is all about honoring quality and versatility. My goal is simple, to help, share, and inspire.
I offer opportunities to build your horsemanship through training, lessons, and clinics on and off the GF home base. I specialize in the fundamentals of horsemanship to build a foundation that will take you and your horse in any direction.
Tune in for more information on upcoming clinics, educational videos, and other offerings. #horsetraining #horsetrainer #qualityhorsemanship
Good morning! āļø š§”
Having waaaay too much fun with this 4yo QH gelding. He was restarted in the Derek Wise clinic and stayed on with us to continue his foundation. Out of Electric Code, little Leo is going to be some handy.
Thanks Rose Brown for the video and Trevor Klein for helping me get him started on the flag.
The first of our two Ranch Days is in the books! What a great few days. We got stuff done, checked goals off lists. #qualityhorsemanship #stockmanship #horsetrainer #horseclinician
āļø The sun finally came out long enough to get outside! We got all of our training horses out on the range roads yesterday. So much fun! We needed it as much as they did #horsetraining #horsetrainer #quality #horsemanship
Cian - Connemara
Out shaking iļæ¼t up today. Started with some loping in the outdoor 10 circles each way, to taking a stroll down the road on trash day. Those dumpsters can be strange looking.
Miss Morgan! š Morgan came to us last fall for a month of ground work, and came back this spring for a couple more months of confidence building. Her owners rescued her and are really taking their time to make sure she gets what she needs. She is a sensitive and skeptical little mare who isnāt quite sure people have a whole lot of offer her. When we first met her she was very concerned on the ground, reactive to saddling, and had a hard time with hoof care and fly spray. I didnāt think I would be getting on her back in the month, nevermind riding her in a clinic! These horses always surprise me, theyāre such resilient and forgiving creatures when given the right feel and opportunities. Eager to see where another month takes usā¦ going at her pace. #quality #horsemanship #horsetraining #horsetrainer
Come on over to the 25th Annual Gelinas Farm Open House
The first days of training with a new horse are always so exciting. Itās all about first impressions. #quality #horsemanship #horsetraining #horsetrainer
As we move into our final week with Salazar his owner came up for some lessons on him!
Looking forward to continue working with the duo for the next couple months as she trucks in with us!
Put Jack on the payroll to pony horses out! Jack is a 5 year old thoroughbred who has been in training with us since he was 4. He is a full time GF resident and itās starting to show. This horse has come a long way, he has a great mind and is slowly becoming a wonderful versatile partner. It takes time, patience, and consistency! #quality #horsemanship #horsetraining #horsetrainer
First ride out!
Set up for success as you embark on your first journey out on the trail. Ask one or two trusted riders to go with you to help build confidence in your horse. Having other confident horses nearby will have a positive effect on the less experienced one, as heāll naturally pick up on their calm emotions.
This little guy started to really let loose and didnāt mind taking the lead. Donāt take the curiosity away from him, ride him give him a place to go.
