Final batch of chicken for 2025!! These birds were a motley crew to say the least! The big guy was going on 4 months old and was 8.2lbs! (Typically you process at 2 months). The big girl was 5.7lbs, then we had 6 little birds at nearly 3 lbs. Our meat birds are pasture raised so their mobility is pretty great, even at 8lbs! 💪😳🐓
These were 3 different age groups, hence the motley crew 🤷♀️….the leftovers 😂
We’ll be taking a break from meat birds for awhile. They’re high maintenance and a lot of work for me to process.
We’ll be ramping up herbs, flowers, produce, and quail for next year. Stay tuned!
