Pets Alive WNY Formerly known as Buffalo Humane, Pets Alive WNY expanded to Niagara County in 2011

Our mission is to promote and protect the health, safety, and welfare of pets and people by taking in and placing homeless companion animals, encouraging and supporting spay/neuter, providing community outreach to ensure proper animal stewardship, and promoting rational and effective animal care and control policies at all levels of government.

Sergei, our gorgeous grey guy, has officially found his furever home!🎊 This handsome boy likely spent his entire life outside before being rescued, and we don’t know if he ever had a home to call his own 💔 But luckily Sergei did not let his rough past dim his sweet and gentle spirit! 🩷

He waited ever so patiently for his moment, and when he met his new dad, it was an instant connection! 💞 The two clicked right away, and it was clear this was exactly what Sergei had been waiting for all along! 🥹

We couldn’t be happier for this wonderful boy as he leaves life on the streets behind and steps into a future filled with warmth, comfort, and love! Congratulations, Sergei! 💓

Aurora, everyone’s favorite busybody, has found her furever family! 🧡🏡

This hyper-affectionate little ginger has opinions about everything and fully expects to be involved in all of it! 😹 From parrot-sitting on your shoulder to sticking her nose into whatever you’re doing, Aurora is always front and center! Curious, cuddly, and endlessly entertaining, she’s bound to keep her new family laughing and on their toes! 👣

✨ It's the moment we've all been waiting for!! 🥁

Drumroll please… the infamous Yoda has FINALLY found his furever family‼️
And if that isn’t amazing enough, Bisque (our FIV+ mama cat) went home with him too! 💓

Now ordinarily, we wouldn’t place Yoda in a multi-cat home, but this wonderful couple was absolutely torn between these two incredible cats! Yoda's charming and mischievous personality completely stole his heart...and the feeling was definitely mutual! 💞 And she loved our sweet and gentle Bisque just as much! 💖

So we decided to give it a chance…because after all, this little family truly deserves a happily ever after! 🌈

Our hearts are beyond full in this moment, and we truly couldn’t imagine a better way to kick off the New Year! We are so very grateful that this kind and compassionate couple chose to open their hearts and home to Yoda & Bisque! 🥹😭

These girls are cat and dog friendly, and they have the sweetest, most playful personalities! 💓 They love to romp, cuddle, and explore, and they’d make a purrfect addition for families with little ones! Built-in best friends, nonstop entertainment, and twice the snuggles? Yes, please! 😻

✨Fennekin, the last of our Pokémon kittens, has officially been adopted! 🧡 🎉

When this little guy met his new dad, he instantly melted into his arms, like it was always meant to be! It was a purrfect moment that made it clear he had found his person! 💕

He’s heading to a loving home where he’ll have an older kitty brother to play with and a future full of lots of love, snuggles, and happiness! 💓

As we say goodbye to this year and welcome the next, we want to take a moment to reflect on just how grateful we are for our incredible community! ❤️🙏

We know it’s been a tough year for so many, yet time and time again our supporters showed up, especially when we needed you most! 💕 Your generosity, kindness, and unwavering support truly kept us going and helped us continue our mission!

While we’re reflecting on the good things this year, we’d like to send a heartfelt thank you to everyone who opened their homes and hearts to one (or more!) of our shelter cats! 🏡❤️ Below are just a handful of those lucky kitties who found their furever families because of you! 💞

This adorable catten is overflowing with affection! 💓 She loves to play, snuggle, and soak up all the attention she can get! 😻 Traci does great with other cats, is dog-friendly too, and would thrive in a home where she has another young kitty companion so they can party all night long together! 🐱🎊
