Our mission is to promote and protect the health, safety, and welfare of pets and people by taking in and placing homeless companion animals, encouraging and supporting spay/neuter, providing community outreach to ensure proper animal stewardship, and promoting rational and effective animal care and control policies at all levels of government.

Sure, she might walk across your keyboard mid-Zoom call. And yes, she will curl up in your lap looking like a little angel, then whack your hand away when you try to pet her! 😅 But hey, some of us just like our affection on our own terms! 😽
Marble is a little spicy, a little sassy, and a whole lot of personality packed into one adorable catten! 💓 If you like your cats with opinions (strong ones), and think mutual respect includes being ignored until she decides you're worthy...you just might be her match made in feisty heaven! 😇

True to calico fashion, Baby Doll is the perfect blend of sugar and spice! 🍬🌶️ She is affectionate, playful, and has just the right amount of sass! 😁 She’s been doing well with other cats, but we think she’d also be perfectly content as your one-and-only! 💞

🎇 Fireworks might be fun for us—but for our pets, they can be terrifying! 😿

Every year around the 4th of July, shelters across the country see a heartbreaking spike in lost pets. In fact, more dogs go missing on Independence Day than any other day of the year! 😳 The loud, unpredictable noises can trigger extreme fear, panic attacks, or even cause pets to bolt in search of safety!

Here’s how you can help keep your furry family members safe:
🐾 Keep pets indoors, even if they’re usually fine outside.
🐾 Update microchip info and ID tags just in case they slip away.
🐾 Use the TV, a fan, or calming music to help mask the booms.
🐾 Provide a cozy, safe space where they can hide and feel secure.

If you’re looking for a way to celebrate that makes a difference, consider skipping the fireworks and donating to local shelters instead! ❤️ We’re always in need of canned cat food—especially Friskies Pate and anything with gravy! 😋 It may not sparkle in the sky, but it makes a world of difference to the animals in our care! 🥰

OMG, look at this face! 😍 Garbo and her litter mates were trapped as part of a TNR operation in Niagara County. Having been born and raised outside, they were a wee bit spicy when they came into the shelter! 🌶️😄 But after some much needed TLC in a foster home, this beautiful girl has made quite the turnaround! 👏 She is a little shy at first, but she warms up quickly...especially if another cat is stealing the attention! 💚 Garbo loves to be petted and will roll over to let you rub her adorable belly too! 🥰 She will do best in a quieter home where she has a kitty companion to play and snuggle with! 💞

🗣️ is Almost Here — and This Year, It Matters More Than Ever! 💛🐾

We’re heading into what may be the most important we’ve ever faced! 😳 As so many of you know, the cost of everything is rising — vet care, medications, food, litter, and supplies. And while our expenses continue to grow, so does the need! Every day, more cats and kittens need help! 😿 More are abandoned, injured, sick, or struggling to survive. And we find ourselves caught between a rock and a hard place.

We try to set limits. We want to set limits. But when it’s a matter of life or death, how do we say no? The answer is: we usually can’t. We stretch, we scramble, we push through — because someone has to.

At the same time, adoptions have slowed. Understandably, many people feel overwhelmed and can’t take on another mouth to feed. But that makes things even harder for us — because every adoption not only frees up space to help another cat in need, it also helps recover some of the costs we’ve already invested in saving a life.

Despite all this, we continue to do what we’ve always done: match every cat to the right home with care, compassion, and intention. We may be under pressure, but we will never compromise the futures of the cats we’ve poured our hearts into. They deserve the best, and we are committed to making sure they get it 🩷
