Welcoming Isabelle Remick to the Pre-Vet Camp Global Academy! Isabelle will serve as a mentor to the program, providing valuable insight to students on the pre-vet path.

“Isabelle is a fourth-year pre-veterinary student at the University of San Diego. On campus, Isabelle is the chair of the Transfer Learning Community program and president of her university's pre-veterinary club. She has established new initiatives including DVM admissions spotlights and alumni spotlights to support pre-veterinary students on their road to vet school. When not in class, Isabelle can be found working as a veterinary assistant at Penasquitos Pet Clinic and VCA Animal Specialty Group in San Diego. She also has prior experience working at the San Dieguito Equine Group which provides quality care for top performance horses in Southern California. Isabelle is currently applying to veterinary schools in hopes of a Fall 2023 matriculation.”

Pre-Vet Camp Global Academy offers students an extensive look into veterinary medicine. From lecture courses and enterprise classes to hands-on workshops out in the field, students participating in the program have the opportunity for a comprehensive education in the area of equine sciences, livestock as well as small and exotic animals. The curriculum is tailored to specific equine-related careers such as studying nutrition or assisted reproductive therapies. Whether students have a minimal background with animals or have grown up on a ranch, the Global Veterinary Academy gives exposure to a variety of different facets in the veterinary industry.

Global Veterinary Academy provides students the opportunity to study individual subjects, which follow our “learn by doing” philosophy. Equine nutrition, management, reproduction, human and equine biomechanics, advanced equine evaluation, and equine exercise physiology are some of the highly sought after courses offered.

Meet PVCGA mentor Dr. Danielle Alleman!

“Dr. Danielle Alleman graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2012 with a bachelor of science in Pre-Veterinary Studies, and graduated in 2017 from Cornell University with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Immediately following graduation, she moved out west to Washington State and has been a practicing small animal veterinarian ever since, and most recently started her own veterinary relief services business.
Dr. Alleman has been passionate about wellbeing since her time as a vet student and supporting the wellbeing of her fellow veterinary colleagues remains a main focus in her veterinary career. Dr. Alleman is passionate about empowering other early career veterinarians to find balance and sustainability in their careers.
Dr. Alleman is the owner and creator of Empathos Veterinary Wellness, a platform designed to help support the mental health and wellbeing of the veterinary profession through virtual events, speaking, career coaching, and more.
When she is not involved in Vet Med, she enjoys hiking, climbing, skiing – or basically any activity that gets her outside in the PNW mountains!”

Meet Pre-Vet Camp Global Academy's newest DVM Mentor, Dr. Ashley Grey! 🤩
“Dr. Ashley Gray graduated from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014 and pursued a rotating small animal internship. Her internship sparked a passion for emergency, and she spent the next five years in a large GP/ER hospital. She has a passion for mentoring and took over the role of internship director during her time there. This sparked her interest in writing and publishing her first book, Becoming a Millennial Veterinarian. She founded the company Vets on the Rise with her classmate Monica to help the future of vet med thrive through their successes and failures. She currently works for Veterinary Emergency Group and will run their Charlotte, NC location as Medical Director this summer. She is married with a one year old daughter, two Aussie mixes, and two long haired cats. She is currently navigating the working mom journey and loving this new life transition.”

We are beyond thrilled to introduce the newest addition to the PVCGA team, Dr. Shiloh, DVM. "A Minnesota native, Dr. Shiloh Landskov moved to Illinois for veterinary school at the U of I in Champaign-Urbana. Dr. Landskov graduated in 2020 amidst the start of the pandemic and worked as an emergency doctor in the Chicago suburbs for one year. She now practices general practice and emergency medicine in central Minnesota. Surgery, emergency medicine and internal medicine are some of Dr. Landskov’s interests. One of the things she loved most about veterinary school was being involved in leadership roles which allowed her to meet other students and veterinarians from across the globe. Outside of clinical medicine, Dr. Landskov enjoys staying involved in leadership roles within the profession, traveling, and spending time with family and friends."
