To me, natural horsemanship means a focus on relationship, communication, feel, and fairness. It means you develop a relationship with the horse. You open up to two-way communication, and you’re always learning how to be as much like a horse as possible. When you have that feel, that fairness, that balance, it’s simply beautiful. It’s a lifestyle, not a series of techniques or tricks. Basically, it’s good horsemanship, whether you call it natural or something else. ~ Erin Murphy, owner, Equine Partners, Inc. ABOUT EQUINE PARTNERS, INC. We offer lessons, horse development, the Teamwork Equine Services youth program, and special events like mini-clinics, summer horse camp, and play days. Lesson horses are available at no additional charge or you can bring your own horse. Each lesson is tailored to the individual human-and-horse team and allows plenty of time for ground work as well as riding. Our lessons emphasize communication, confidence, and creativity, helping you develop a solid relationship with your horse while advancing your horsemanship and your riding skills. This builds a strong foundation to support you through a lifetime of equine pursuits.
