💫Jill and Eden💫

Over the past year, Jill has worked so hard not only training the dog but, training the human part of agility as well - mental prep and mindset.

I want to thank Jill for listening, doing all the crazy weird challenges I asked of her, Believing in the process, staying focused, Taking the time to take webinars and seminars for her own growth and not quitting!

Learning growing and maintaining the right mindset and focus is the key!!

When it came to trialing, What initially was ring confidence issues then became just Weave poles and the table eluding them from getting the Qs in open STD. Frustration and feeling defeated could have taken over but Jill has pushed on!! She’s tried to learn from every run. She’s added training into Eden’s world to help with the skills and she is focused on her teamwork.

There is no quick fix in dog sports. And there’s no comparing from dog to dog or other teams.

Kudos to you Jill for being amazing , challenging your self ( and me as your trainer!)

18 topics , almost 90 slots filled. Several students taking 6 or more topics throughout the two weeks. So many laughs. So much learning. So many great questions. I wish I had more moments to share. What a blast the annual winter mini clinics have been!

Today kicked off day 1 of 2 weeks of workshops of a variety of topics before a break for the Holidays. Today we started with teeters and stays and ended with tunnels! Every team got a tailored plan and today’s feature is Dan! This little guy was not a teeter fan. Many months building value and wow! Today he got into it! The tunnel dogs worked everything from building drive to different verbal cues !

We kicked off our annual holiday games and celebrations before we give the dogs a much needed break from training

Some of our distance dogs challenged to sit in a. Chair with Santa glasses on and send to a tunnel and a jump. And then we did some dress ups!

I had a vision of what I wanted to show but video isn’t my priority when teaching!
This group has been amazing ! 3-4
Dogs working at a time in an intense state. Dogs that were struggling with weaves are Rocking it! Dogs that went nuts just seeing another dog are focused on their task.
These guys are simply fabulous!

Julee has been a joy to train so far. I had no solid plans when I got her
She’s a quirky perfect little border collie with potential to go either way on the Bc spectrum. Foundations and more foundations! And no training is perfect. Puppies make mistakes. How you handle them is what’s important!

Novice /intermediate tricks class gives you:
🐾 a strong relationship with your dog
🐾teaches our dogs problem solving skills, body awareness
🐾Earn fun titles!
This class will cover the required tricks for novice and intermediate. We can tailor to the needs of each team! Appropriate for puppies at least 5 months old to adult
Dogs must be able to work on leash with other dogs.

Week 2 of my Manners Class for Puppies and I am having a blast. I don’t usually teach manners since I’m so busy with performance.

The dogs and the students are an amazing attentive group who have brilliant questions and really want to get into not only the basic manners , but what works in their home and what isn’t working that they want help with.

They see their dogs responses for what they are and they dive in to see how they can take those responses and either help the dog or build a behavior to make it better or extinguish it if it is not desired.

In two weeks we have tackled leash walking, at home management (especially with multi dog households), sit
Stays , collar acceptance , polite greetings, and next week we start our station training. Ella was the demo teaser for that. She is relaxed in her chair while I speak and explain the skill we are about to work.
