Learning to hold.. or not to hold
Julee has been a joy to train so far. I had no solid plans when I got her
. She’s a quirky perfect little border collie with potential to go either way on the Bc spectrum. Foundations and more foundations! And no training is perfect. Puppies make mistakes. How you handle them is what’s important!
The youngsters have been working really hard with their wing work, their contacts and weaves the past couple weeks! Some just starting. Some really making the dogs think and some finishing up their skills!!
Baby dogs rock!
🐶 It’s JULEE Time!!!! 🐶

9 puppies enrolled in foundations ! Here’s week 2. Lots of amazing teams working on a group setting!
Pawsitive Trendz formed our first AKC Agility League teams and we have had a blast so far!
The teams have the best team spirit and shortly into the season Linda said we need team tee shirts! And just like that 2 team members jumped into high gear to design and print tee shirts for us!!
And then we had the best laughs posing and trying to figure out how to get the front and the back design in the photo.
Enjoy!
It’s been about a week and I’m still glowing from the amazing seminar Danielle Basciano from CNY Pet Training and I taught on integrating behavior modification into dog sports. To address , not hide , the challenges some dogs have. To help explore ways to bring these dogs “back to neutral” to build their confidence and to give their handlers the skills to help them succeed in the real world and do the things they love.
We can’t wait to do it again!
We have been so busy the past two weeks!
New classes under way
Some mini workshops last week and today we presented our first behavioral modification seminar for sport dogs which was AMAZING! More to come on this but here’s a quick video starring Josie who tolerated our nonsense and rocked our contact proofing workshop last week!
I love when students practice! Just one week apart! Every rep better and better!!
