Happy Tuesday everyone! I think we are all enjoying this much needed break from the rain! I wanted to share that while I wasn’t spending the weekend helping your horses I was spending it helping mine. My mare started a very bad colic episode early Saturday morning. Her treatment had to be stall side as her personality won’t tolerate being hospitalized. It was a long road, but as of last night, she was determined to keep getting food and it looked like we were out of the woods! She continues to progress forward amazingly & will slowly get back to her 24/7 pasture access lifestyle!
I want to give a huge shout out and THANK YOU to Dr.Jill Thornton, from Sonoma Marin Veterinary Service! She staying dedicated to the case & showed up at all hours to provide treatments, oversight and continued support❤️
Also, another big THANK YOU to Petaluma Equine for providing immediate lab results to help guide our treatment plan! This is an amazing service available to the local equine veterinary community and their clients. I delivered the blood and had results within minutes 🙌🏼
