It is with a sad and heavy heart that we have to euthanize Sugar Baby today. She recovered from her eye surgery then the post op infection but her jaw was injured when the eye was and it locked up on her. Now she is unable to eat. I want to say thank you to everyone who supported Sugar with prayers and donations. We will miss her so much. I knew having a senior horse rescue would lose horses occasionally, but I didn't even consider losing one to being kicked. It is a very sad day. Here is Sugar Baby's journey.

We have to say good bye to another senior Spartan. He will be euthanize Saturday and cross that rainbow bridge meeting up with his friends who went before him. Spartan have heaves (Equine asthma is a common respiratory disease of horses characterized by airway narrowing (bronchoconstriction), inflammation, mucus production, and bronchospasm) and because of other circumstances, the recommendation is to euthanize.
