Sunday is the annual Barktoberfest benefitting the Pensacola Humane Social. We will be set up from 10-4! Doggy costume contests, live music, food trucks, all the things you could possibly want!

We are so sad to announce the passing of my sweet girl this past Tuesday.
My dear sweet Sophie girl…we knew the day was coming but it still came way too soon. You were the best dog a gal could hope for. To know you was to love you and you never met a stranger. I am so blessed to have had you for nearly all of your 11.5 years.
Ever wonder how Sophie's PupCake Pantry got it’s name? Sophie was the BEST (worst?) pantry thief of them all. I remember one time in my trailer, all the dogs were quietly standing around the pantry door (two little dogs – Mama Dog & Little Dog). I heard Sophie opening the door, crept around and when she saw me she tried to look innocent, but was holding her mouth slightly ajar. She had snuck into a container of dog treats and was hiding one LONG-WAYS in her mouth to avoid being caught stealing!! Those little dogs were hoping she’d share. 🤣🤣 She was quite the stealthy girl…she stole many a things off the counter, even when we were in the exact same room. Sophie also liked to casually just walk away and lay in her bed if she was stealing something (brownies on the stove) and heard you coming. She once ate an entire loaf of beautifully crafted star bread without moving the plate or the table cloth…raided the pantry more times than I could count. She had a knack for opening Tupperware without leaving a single toothmark on the container. Nothing was safe from the Sophie girl.
I lived with my parents for a few years and she developed a deep love of tree climbing…she would climb the tree and sit for hours. Our neighbors probably thought we were nuts! In typical Great Dane fashion, she was quite certain that laps were for sitting in and people were for laying on.
I'm so beyond thankful that Sophie got to meet my two boys and they got to love her. She was the most patient, kind, and loving dog. She lived to be loved and we loved her with everything we had. It's going to take a while for this Sophie sized hole in our hea
