Today at the grocery store a woman approached me and asked if I was a paramedic?!😂😂 She said, "I just wanted to thank you for your service." I replied, "You're quite welcome, I'm a dog trainer." 😂😂😂 She looked at me with a not-computing blank expression.

So much in the rescue world I didn't know...until I see it daily. It saddens me how innocent souls can be mistreated & abandoned by a species known for their "humanity". Unfortunately, this is not a dog's world WITHOUT strong & compassionate advocates giving a voice to the voiceless. Equally important are RESPONSIBLE dog owners, who seek a bonding relationship through mutual respect; proper training, nutrition, health care (includes spay & neuter) and maintenance grooming.

With that said, if you cannot or choose not to offer/provide for the basic NEEDS of animals, then leave them alone. Shut your mouth & move on. There is no need to worsen an already severe problem! I am absolutely heartbroken by the numbers of dogs needing fear-rehabilitation & trust-restoration!!
BEFORE judging the "no-kill" or "high kill" shelters or rescues, remember irresponsible humans are the reason so many animals need to be euthanized. Humans need to do better.

Some days are harder than others. Today, I'm embarrassed of what lengths human nature will go to further hurt innocent lives.
The animal industry is full of rewarding love & lots of positive outcomes. Yet some days, like today, are heavy-hearted. On my way into work, I found a sweet dog laying aside the road, hit by a car. Knowing we were there to help her, she allowed us to lift her to transport her to get veterinary care.
Also, assisted the sweetest little Pit, who is a new momma. She was caged with her puppies and abandoned. Some heartless human shot her and left her to suffer and bleed all over her nursing babies.
With many blessings from the puppies are safe and being cared for & momma is receiving necessary veterinary treatment.
