If you enjoy the nostalgia of days gone by, then you'll love this little gem! The Lincoln Motor Court is located just west of Bedford, PA. They offer very affordable rates, AND a one time pet fee of $20! We enjoyed the peace and quiet. No one above you, below you, or connected next door. Plenty of green space to walk your pups. Please keep them on a leash, because on the lower side of the back yard you will find 2 of the cutest little pigs. As soon as you close the door, you are time warped back to the 30's and 40's. The owner, Lucas, has breathed life back into this one of a kind piece of history. His right hand man, Jimmy, will make you feel like right at home. Bedford county has so much to see and do... 20 minutes from The Flight 93 Memorial, Lincoln Highway Murals, Gravity Hill, Shawnee State Park, covered bridges, Old Bedford Village, Bison Corral gift shop, and historic downtown Bedford...too much to list here. Tell us about Your travels.

How Monday feels like to most people...
How Sunday feels like to housekeepers.
What is your "must pack" item when traveling with your pets?
Ours need their Woogie blankets, and we need the portable shark vac🤣
This is our life and we wouldn’t want it any other way how about you?
❤️❤️❤️❤️
This girl has been the most challenging furbaby...but we wouldn't know what to do without her. Yesterday she turned 11. Dear Spirit...thank you for all of the lessons in patience. Thank you for reminding us that it's OK to just howl for no reason. That a nap can be enjoyed at any time of day. And that peace can be found by closing your eyes and facing the breeze. We love you silly girl......Happy (late) Birthday Spirit!
The last few days have been crazy! And our pups have been so good! They are exhausted. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
These Florida dogs had a blast today. They love their mountains, but a day at the beach is good for the paws. Cape Henlopen gets a 4 Paw rating! The beaches were very clean. No sand spurs, as long as you stay on the path. It was off season, so, entry was free! But, we would be happy to pay for this experience. There are areas that are closed to dogs to protect the birding habitat. However, it is a small area in comparison to what is open. Sand, sun, waves, salt water breeze, and lighthouses...sharing it with your furry family...priceless!
Where is your favorite beach??????
I love it when a quick trip turns into an epic adventure! These pups had a blast at The Dogfish Inn located in Lewes, DE. Delaware was the only state, east of the Mississippi that we haven't been to. My excuse was always...there's nothing there.
WRONG! We enjoyed our pet friendly room. The pet fee was a flat $75 for the week. So, not too bad. Unfortunately, it is $75 no matter how long you stay. There were several pet friendly restaurants, and some were even within walking distance. The good news...we are racking up points we can use at the brewery! Win-Win!
Tomorrow...the beach!
Enjoy a good laugh....

Who loves taking their furbabies on vacation?!?!?
We do!!! We took advantage of this winter warm up week, and headed out to see Niagra Falls. We just had to share a few of the awesome surprises we experienced.
Did you know that the popular Cave of the Winds tour is pet friendly? 🤯
Our hound is very fearful with loud noises, so we chose not to take them. We enjoyed the relaxing paths on Goat Island. It was enough to tire out our old girls. We definately made a good decision to stay at The River Spring Lodge near Darien Center,NY. The hosts were spectacular! Rooms were super clean, the free morning breakfasts were delicious AND delivered to your room. Plenty of area to walk your pups around the serene pond. All of this, and they do NOT charge a pet fee! It is very secluded and relaxing. Your pups even have their own host...Cuddles! Since we were the only ones there, Cuddles and Gypsy got extra play time while Spirit cheered them on with the song of her ancestors. We enjoyed it so much we stayed an extra day! They only have 2 pet friendly rooms, so "in season" availability may be harder to find. We are already planning our next trip back there.
Where is your favorite pet friendly place to stay?
If you love traveling with your pups and visiting National and State Parks...
You need to check out the Bark Ranger Program. It is not available everywhere, but it's fun to collect badges, tags, and even bandanas for the pups.
Unfortunately, Valley Forge National Historic Site doesn't participate in the program yet. One of their Rangers is very interested. So, hopefully it will happen in the near future. If you intend to visit, here are a few hints.....
It is very quiet in the off season, but if you like souvenirs, the choices are slim.
Do not miss the Pawling Sycamore! It was our favorite part. A nice and easy walk back to this Huuuuge sycamore was beautiful and peaceful. It is listed as one of a handful of "witness trees", meaning this mass of beauty and strength was standing here in 1777. Do you have a favorite park to visit?
Apparently Spirit doesn't want to share her new toy....so the narwhal is now a pillow.
Do you blame her? Gypsy can destroy anything in minutes. As you can see with the gutless purple toy in front of her. Anyone else have a shredder too?
Tell us you take pics while walking your pups...without actually telling us you take pics while walking your pups🤣
Although it delayed our morning walk by about 20 minutes, it was interesting to watch. Good thing we have high windows, or our coonhound would have had something to say...something loud
Getting ready to take the pups for their morning walk and saw this.....
How Cold was your week?
🤣🤣🤣💩💩💩
Anyone else?
Basically.

Some things can't be described...they must be experienced. We enjoyed a quick visit to one of our favorite places, the Battlefield Bed and Breakfast. We enjoyed a perfect visit with friends, some relaxation, good food, and a few new experiences. Take advantage of their history programs provided every morning. What more could we ask for? FYI....they are VERY pet friendly!!!! They provide a little puppy welcome with treats and towels. You have acres to walk through the woods and those towels can be helpful. Oh, and best of all, they do NOT charge a pet fee! The only place to stay when visiting Gettysburg!
Another High Street Guesthouse rental unit. And about the same cost as some hotels! Parking in Jim Thorpe can be a hassle, but this place is within walking distance of everything! Where is your favorite pet friendly vacation location??????
Snow Geese Invasion !!!!!!!!! The plan was to enjoy a little hike in one of our favorite parks, Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area. We always park at the Willow Point parking lot and enjoy a nice paved walkway skirting the wooded area with a peaceful view of the countryside. Occasionally, we are fortunate enough to see a pair of Bald Eagles. It has never been crowded...until today! We pulled into the packed parking lot, dazed and confused, we tried to make sense of the huge crowd. Then we noticed all the cameras. Some were the size of our little dog Gypsy. A car backs out and ZOOM, we have a spot! The celebration was short lived when we realized what was going on. These dedicated photographers and wildlife lovers were trekking out to the point to observe THOUSANDS of Snow Geese. So excited, we unclasped our seat belts, then everything went to slow motion..... My brain pictured our happy family making our way down the trail. As we break past the last tree line and the open waterway comes into view, I can hear us gasp with excitement. I feel us quicken our pace to get a better view of this magnificent display of nature. And then it happens. Our beloved Treeing Walker Coonhound's tail stands up, her chest widens as she inhales enough oxygen to fill a hot air balloon. I throw my body around her in a sacrificial act to protect everyone, but I was too late. The silence was broken as she sang the song of her ancestors with a volume only matched by evacuation sirens. Thousands of geese take to flight. Cameras began clicking in a synchronicity of an attacking hoard of locusts. Then silence returned, as the crowd turns to see what caused this catastrophe. We could feel their angry glares cut right through us as our TWC danced with delight. SLOW MOTION FINISHED.... I turned to June and we both exclaimed, "Maybe this isn't a good idea". Apparently, she saw the same mental movie I did. We drove down to the nearest bridge to enjoy it from a distance. If you listen closely to v
