🐾 Update on Pullo, the German Shepherd puppy, who is nailing the art of walking on a leash and mastering basic commands! 🐶💪 I am so proud to see Pullo’s progress as we work on his leash training. He’s quickly grasping the concept of walking alongside me without tugging or pulling. Such a good boy! 🚶‍♀️✨ Not only that, Pullo’s stationary stays have improved tremendously! He can now hold his spot for longer periods and is getting better at ignoring distractions around him. This little champ is growing up to be such a well-behaved pup! 🎯🙌 Now that he has the basics down, we’re ready to tackle new challenges. We’ll be focusing on building up the duration of his stays and working on introducing distractions. Who said old dogs can’t learn new tricks?!?! This 9.5 years old gentleman HAVOC used to chronic bark for and at every noise, change of environment, doorbell ring and person on the front door. 💥💥 He learned his place command and stay in our previous lessons, so we introduced our „jackpot treat giver“ which makes it possible to reward him from a distance. 🥳🥳🥳 Now his mom is able to go in a different room, out of sight and answering the door AND has the ability to reward Havic for good and quiet behavior 🎉💪☺️🐕🐶 We are so extremely proud of his progress and his owners efforts by keeping up with his homework 🎉🎉🎉🎉

We think SOPHIE is ready for her American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen test next week 🎉🎉🎉🎉 We always practice a little bit more than what the test requires, to make sure everyone passes with flying colors 🤩🙌🤩 Here we go…. Instead of staying on a 20ft leash we did 100ft with no leash 🍾🍾🍾 Our journey is Oth sweet SOPHIE is almost over and she has changed sooooo much. We couldn’t be more happy. Great job Sophie 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Same task - 2 different dogs 🐶🥰👍 We’ve started to teach our dogs Günther & Fritz to hold things. Why? 🤔 Why not!🥰 These two are bird dogs and supposed to retrieve birds. We don’t want them to “chew” on them while bringing them back and rather teach the “hold” separate from retrieve before connecting it with a layer of prey drive. Is this more work? Absolutely! Is it worth it? Yes, 100%! Short cuts will make you go in circles in the long run. We want the dogs to work for us because THEY WANT TO, not because they are pressured to do so. In this stage they are figuring the task out by themselves without command. They command gets added later in the process. 🤓😉 Please remember there are a million ways to train a dog.
