We strive to improve the lives of animals and the people who love them. We rescue and rehabilitate dogs, cats, and farm animals and help them find their forever families. You can find our Adoption Center tucked between the Express and Calvin Klein stores at The Outlets at Park City in Kimball Junction. We work to save the most vulnerable animals in our region's shelters. Many of them are overcrowd

ed and underfunded, leaving thousands of cats and dogs to an uncertain fate. We take these animals in, even if they have a complicated or costly medical problem, are seniors, are injured, are pregnant or nursing, or have special needs. Over the last 30 years, we've saved over 25,000 lives. We'll stop at nothing to build a world . Thank you in advance for your support! Mark your calendars! The Nuzzles & Co. Community Clinic is hosting another Animal Wellness Clinic on Friday, January 31st, from 2-4 PM at our Adoption Center in Kimball Junction!

We're making it easy to keep your pets healthy with low-cost vaccines, microchipping, and deworming—all bundled with a pet exam. To participate, your pet must be spayed or neutered, or you can secure an appointment with a deposit for a future spay/neuter surgery at our clinic.

Call (435) 608-1424 to book your spot—online booking isn’t available, so don’t wait!

We look forward to servicing our community and their furry friends. Keep your eye out if your pet isn't due for anything just yet, we will be adding more dates in February and March!

Attica's journey hasn’t been easy, but her spirit shines bright. At just two years old, this beautiful mixed breed has already shown incredible resilience. She came from a tough situation but was lucky to be rescued by some kindhearted people who made sure she got the care she needed.

Despite everything, Attica is as sweet as they come. She’s friendly, affectionate, and absolutely lives for a game of fetch—she’ll happily chase a ball for as long as you’ll throw it! She’s still working on getting to a healthy weight, but with love and care, she’ll be thriving in no time. She also seems to enjoy the company of other dogs. Attica deserves a loving home where she can finally feel safe and cherished. If thats with you, give us a call to set up a meet and greet today!

Meet Wolfgang! This affectionate mixed breed pup is the perfect mix of sweet and spunky. At six months old he adores cuddles, playtime, and hanging out with his mom, Kala, and sister Nomi—both of whom are also looking for their forever homes!

Wolfgang is as smart as he is lovable, always eager to learn - especially when treats are involved! He will soak up all the attention he can get. Wolfgang and his family were rescued by a kind Samaritan who took in his mama and her seven puppies before reaching out to us for help.

Dottie, Lottie, Ottie, and Maudie, our "Naughty List" Sisters, who are actually far from naughty. These adorable mixed-breed puppies just turned 8 weeks old and they didn't make their way to us without a story as special as they are.

The sisters and their brothers - The Hockey Pups, remember them; were rescued from the Navajo Nation when a someone performing a home check, discovered their mother had sadly passed away. The kind-hearted community members took the puppies in, cared for them, and brought them to RezRoads Rescue. The kind people at RezRoads reached out to us and we transferred them to our care.

Despite their difficult start, these little ones are full of love, friendliness, and boundless puppy energy. Each of the sisters share a sweet and affectionate nature that makes them impossible to resist. Whether they’re playing together or snuggling up for a nap, Dottie, Lottie, Ottie, and Maudie are ready to bring joy and companionship to their future families.

Meet our little hockey stars! Dylan Guenther and Logan Cooley are two playful, cuddle-loving puppies named after Utah Hockey Club players, and they’re ready to skate their way into your heart! These 8-week-old mixed-breed brothers are survivors in every sense of the word. Discovered during a heartbreaking welfare check, they tragically lost their mom far too soon. Thankfully, the kind souls who found them stepped in to care for these tiny fighters until they could find their way to us.

Now thriving with their foster family (a.k.a. their training camp coaches), these adorable pups are learning the ropes of being the best teammates ever. Our future medium-sized MVPs are ready to leave the ice (okay, their cozy foster home) and join their forever families. Are you ready to draft one of these cuties to your team?

Everest is a 4-year-old hunting dog mix with a heart as big as his love for the great outdoors. This medium-large, handsome brown boy is as sweet as they come, friendly with other dogs, and great with kids. Whether it's chasing a ball in the yard, exploring new trails, or simply enjoying time with his humans, Everest is happiest when he's on the go.

Everest is a smart, curious dog who loves to sniff out all the exciting smells around him-whether on a hike or a walk around the neighborhood. He's house-trained and eager to learn, but he'll need someone who can help him brush up on basic commands and channel his adventurous spirit. Everest loves treats so working on new tricks with him will be a fun and rewarding experience!

Meet Rebel, a spirited 9-month-old medium-sized mixed breed pup with a personality as bold as her name! Her sleek coat and bright, soulful eyes hint at her unique heritage, and she carries herself with a joyful energy that’s absolutely contagious.

Rebel was rescued from a high-kill shelter in California, and she’s ready to embrace her second chance at life with open paws. Whether she’s bounding across the yard in a burst of playful excitement or curling up for snuggles after a day of fun, Rebel’s enthusiasm for life shines in everything she does.

This sweet and affectionate girl loves making friends, whether they’re people or fellow pups. While Rebel is still learning her puppy manners—like keeping her paws on the ground when she’s excited and perfecting her leash skills—her eagerness to please makes her a joy to train. With patience and consistency, she’ll grow into an even more amazing companion.

Rebel hasn’t been cat-tested yet, but her curious and open nature means she’s ready to meet new furry friends with the right introductions. Hi friends,

This is Josh, the Development Manager for Nuzzles & Co. Last year, I came up with the idea of sharing these deep dive adoption update stories to highlight the incredible bond between people and their rescue animals. These stories have been one of the most meaningful and enjoyable things we’ve done this year. They’ve shown how shelter animals transform lives, but they’re also a lot of work.

So, while this will be our last story shared on a weekly schedule, it’s not the end. We’ll continue sharing deep dives into adoption stories through our newsletter and other updates. If you haven’t signed up yet, visit our website and look for the pop-up to join!

I want to give a special thanks to Aliks, our amazing social media guru, who made these stories possible with her hard work and creativity. I’m also so grateful to everyone who shared their personal adoption stories—you’ve inspired so many people.

Beyond sharing these journeys, our goal was to show the value of shelter animals. They’re not throwaways or second-tier pets—they’re animals who had an unfortunate start or set of circumstances and just needed some help. They’re survivors, and they change our lives for the better.

Ruby, whose story you’re about to read, is my second Nuzzles dog. My two dogs are the reason I came to work here. They’ve shown me firsthand the power of rescue animals to make us better people.

Meet Penelope, the sweetest and incredibly resilient pup!

In October, Penelope found herself in an overcrowded California shelter, limping from an old injury. X-rays revealed untreated trauma to her femoral head (her doggy hip), requiring a surgery called an FHO (femoral head osteotomy) to relieve her pain. Unfortunately, such a surgery was impossible at the municipal shelter.
That’s where Nuzzles stepped in. We welcomed Penelope with open arms, knowing our skilled veterinarian could give her the care she needed.

On December 12th, Penelope underwent her life-changing surgery, and her spirits have already soared! She’s well on her way to recovery, though she may always have a slightly unique gait (meaning how she looks when she walks).

Penelope adores everyone she meets—humans and dogs alike! She’s playful, affectionate, and loves leaning in for attention. Whether it’s going for walks or simply being by your side, Penelope’s greatest joy is making you smile.
While she may not be a mountain climber, her determination to be your best friend is boundless. Penelope is ready to start her next chapter with a loving family. Could it be yours?

You may have seen a recent post where we shared about a sweet dog named Lexi at Summit County Animal Control. At the time, we were unable to bring Lexi into our program due to a lack of kennel space. However, an amazing foster stepped up and offered to take Lexi so that we could rescue her! We were able to pick her up on December 31st — what a great way to finish off the year! Now, Lexi is enjoying the comforts of a loving home while she waits for her forever family. The work that we do wouldn't be possible without the help of amazing volunteers and fosters. Thanks to our foster homes, we are able to save even more lives.
