We specialize in quality care for dogs and cats, from kittens and puppies to the geriatric and we are unlike any other boarding facility in the desert. We take unaltered pets, all breeds, hard to handle, insulin and other medical needs. Our services include: Dog Boarding, Cat Boarding, Doggie Daycare, Playgroup, Dog Grooming, Puppy Playland, and Pet Transportation. What makes us different: the one-on-one care and playtime that EACH pet receives and the freedom they have each day.

Everyone meet Thor!

This may seem like a drawn out video showing me, organizing and contemplating redoing a whole area right before the holidays.. of course lol.. but it is so much more. This video is why the furshire was started. Everyone meet Thor! You have probably seen him on our page the last couple days and weeks. Thor was on the euthanasia list at a shelter, and does not have a pleasant past. Due to that, Thor has decided that using his size and teeth are the best ways to defend himself against humans. A wonderful couple pulled Thor out of the shelter and rescued him. As he loved being with them, Thor wasn’t getting along with the other dogs in their household, so they contacted us to see if we could house him until he found a furever home. Thor first came into the furshire scared, reactive, and aggressive. Our first meeting, he charged me three times. During his stay, he wouldn’t allow us to get near him, touch him, and make eye contact amongst other things. He was with us for 5 days and they found him a furever home! For those 5 days, it may not have seemed like we made much progress with Thor on the surface, but allowing him to have his own space to be comfortable in, and to not have a human try to insert themselves into that space, allowed Thor to begin to be comfortable with us, and understand that we were not going to hurt him. Thor went to his furever home and we are so happy for him!! Thor then came back for a short stay with us, and was less reactive towards staff, but still very unsure. Again, we allowed him to have his own space that humans were not inserting themselves into. The third time Thor came to stay with us, he was calm with staff, but still very unsure and not fully trusting us. I began to focus on working with Thor multiple times a day to open up his trust towards me and his space within the furshire. He began to allow me to make eye contact, toss him treats to catch, and began listening to my commands. It may seem like a small step, but when wo
