Your senior family members should be examined regularly to check for developing medical conditions. Preventative care and early treatment is our goal. The earlier treatment is instituted, the better most patients will do. We recommend our senior companions be checked every 6-12 months with blood work monitoring when possible. Does your dog hate their nails being trimmed? Desensitizing with positive reenforcement goes a long ways! Albus, the Boston terrier, is the best boy for his nails. This was accomplished by getting him used to the noise, handling, and vibrations using lots of treats!
If your pet is difficult, please talk to us about adding anti-anxiety or sedatives to add to their nail trim protocols. 623-334-3030

Mongoose is the sweetest boy looking for his furever home! He is a young male that happens to be a tripod but that doesn't slow him down. Up to date on vaccines, neutered, heartworm test negative, and does great with other dogs. He is a bit too enthusiastic with cats currently but could be trained.
Please share this post so we can find his perfect home! Contact The Barn House if interested in meeting him.

Ouch! This patient was chewing on a rock and broke their molar! Please do not allow your pets to chew on overly hard items (i.e. rocks, antlers, bones, etc). Remember if the toy/treat won't give, their teeth eventually will! This is common in our larger breed dogs. If you pet has a broken tooth, please set up an appointment so it can be addressed as quick as possible! 623-334-3030

Impressive before and after dental pictures! This patient will not tolerate brushing at home, however, she comes in regularly to maintain her oral health. She now accepts some of the dental products available over the counter, which does not replace brushing, however is still beneficial. Does your pet have red gums (gingivitis)? Please set up an appointment so we can address their dental disease. 623-334-3030

Our All Pets family has had a lot unforeseen events that have occurred over the last 6 months. This has lead to us needing to adjust our schedule. Dr. Ray Marsh is still the sole owner and has not retired but has reduced the number of hours he is seeing patients.

We understand the frustration of not being able to get into the office as quickly as possible. We actually save multiple same day sick appointments everyday but these are typically filled immediately. Please remember that there is truly a limit on how much we can see daily. Most days we are actually overbooked trying to accommodate as many patients as we can. We even offer drop-off appointments to see more patients. We haven’t taken new clients for the majority of the last 18 months except during a very brief period. This is also why we’ve been stricter on repeated no-show appointments.

Recently we have had multiple awful client interactions. We understand we cannot please everyone and we are open to constructive criticism that can be discussed civilly- we welcome those conversations and strive to improve. Our office, however, will not tolerate abuse, cursing, or threats. This is unacceptable.

When you notice you can’t get into a vet, practices are closing, limiting hours, or there are only corporate practices, this is one of the reasons why. Our profession is in a crisis partly due to situations like this. Veterinarians and qualified paraprofessionals are leaving the field at an alarming rate. We encourage everyone to look at the NOMV initiative (https://www.nomv.org/). Thankfully we have surrounded ourselves with mostly kind people but the negative interactions, especially lately, still affect everyone. It takes no effort to be kind to people. Many of you that have been with us for years know that we do try to help as much as possible. We’ve shown up early, stayed late, answered our cell phones in the middle of the night, and spent the holidays at the office…this means missing time with our families to help save your family members. We care not just for our patients but their families.

For everyone that has shown our family grace, sympathy, understanding, and kindness these past few months, thank you. Your support and words of encouragement mean a lot.

This is a chronically thickened ear as a result of allergies, chronic ear infections, and/or trauma. If you are noticing these changes with your pet, please schedule an appointment immediately so we can address it. Allergies unfortunately are never cured but can be managed with environmental changes, oral mediations, injectable medications, or topical treatments.
