Ember is a year-old calico cat that came to PCAPS in June. She arrived with an injured leg, and was very underweight, then developed an upper respiratory infection, poor kitty! Despite this rough start, she is a very social, playful girl. Her leg is doing well, she has recovered from her illness, and she is happily gaining weight at her foster home. Her foster family report she is close to being a 'foster fail' because she is so wonderful, they'd consider keeping her permanently! She likes people and follows them around the house just to be near them. She enjoys sitting next to and on laps and loves playing too. Ember gets along very well with the two older cats in the home but is scared of dogs, especially when they bark! The perfect home for her would have another cat or two, and no dogs.

Meet Rosie!
Rosie is a lovely 7 1/2 year-old black husky mix with white markings and a blue eye! She came to PCAPS with her doggie buddy when their people's house was destroyed in a storm. She had 9 puppies in the shelter, and stayed there for 2 months being a great mom, while her dog friend was adopted.
We know a lot about her sweet temperament because of her long stay at PCAPS, and also because since the end of July, she's been living in foster with a local family. They absolutely LOVE her, but can't keep her because Rosie doesn't do well with cats.
Rosie loves other dogs, and has a great time at the dog park. She is ACTIVE, and needs someone to walk or run her each day. She is also rather timid around people until she gets to know them, and is sad when left alone.
She would be perfect with someone who is home during the day, and can give her the attention she craves. If you have another dog, Rosie would be so happy! If you have a lot of space for her to run, she'd be over the moon! Rosie is very sweet and loves to be with her people...is she the dog for you?

Hi there, we are Jet (male, 2 years old) and little Waffles (female, 1 year old). We came to the shelter 2 days apart, but we are taking comfort from each other because we are feeling very scared about the changes in our lives. We don’t need to be adopted together, but we would REALLY like that. We even match…except for size!
