hey y’all 🖤 just another big fat appreciation post for ya! you have us SO booked & SO busy that at this time, we are unable to accommodate any more large “haircut” breeds (poodles & doodles of all shapes & sizes, golden retrievers needing trims, aussies, etc) or any more giant fluffy bath breeds (newfies, great pyrenees, bernese mountain dogs, etc). we *might* have time to squeeze in small haircuts and bath dogs here & there, but we are really limited on what new clients we can take on while making sure our current clientele is cared for.

until we are able to bring on another talented groomer (hopefully soon, y’all know how picky we are!) we are pretty much at max capacity. you guys really have no idea how much we appreciate you! we are so fortunate that you support us so well that we have no choice but to keep growing. thank you 🐾

do y’all have your tickets for Vanity Fur Expo and Grooming Competition at the Peoria Civic Center yet?? We do! 10am-3pm this Saturday! $5 gets you in the door to grab a drink & shop a bunch of vendors with pet gear, watch a grooming competition to get a glimpse of how we do what we do, and enter yourself into a ton of raffles. This is also a pet-friendly event! Bring your pups and let them do their own shopping! 🛍️🐾

The Hounds & Company girls will be there with all the cool s**t for you & your dog, don’t you worry 😜 (psssssst—the first 150 dog lovers in the building will receive an exclusive discount for our shoppe)

Vanity Fur Expo and Grooming Competition is being put on by Bear's Bites Foundation. The Bear’s Bites Foundation was created to help families in need when it comes to their pet’s emergency veterinary care. They provide grants directly to your vet to help make sure your pup will get the care they need to hopefully make it home healthy and safe, without mounting financial burden. All proceeds & donations from this event will help BBF continue to help local families & their four legged babes.

it’s your lucky day! from tomorrow until 3/31 we will be running a 🌸spring cleaning🌼 special— get your pup a spa day & let us take care of all that hair! all new appointments booked for these dates will either receive $10 off our best selling mud mask spa treatment or freeeeee nail buffing + teeth brushing add ons ($15 regular price), your choice!

we have mud masks for all skin/coat types:
•exfoliating & deeply moisturizing deshedding mud for double coated breeds
•deep conditioning coconut mud for pups needing a little shine (great for poodles & doodles!)
•soothing lavender & witch hazel mud for icky skin. we pair this with our hypo shampoo & conditioner to further the benefits of the mud
•minty mobility mud for pups with aging joints
•rejuvenating mango mud for all skin/coat types

nail buffing gets your pup’s nails shorter & smoother than a clip, allowing us to get down to the quick without cutting it. we recommend this service for every dog who will allow it! regular buffing (every 2-4 weeks) keep your dog’s nails at a healthy length and prevent skeletal damage that long nails can cause.

we use an actual toothbrush (no weird finger covers here!) and enzymatic toothpaste to get your dog’s teeth as clean as they allow us to. enzymatic toothpaste works with your dog’s saliva to break down plaque & tartar and to freshen their breath. we recommend regular teeth brushing to keep your dog’s oral health in check.

Change can be hard, scary, challenging. But it can also be exciting, necessary, and WORTH IT.

Happy February everyone!! BIG Announcement 😁
February 13th I will be starting an exciting new opportunity at !

It’s been quite the ride at Camp Bow Wow and I will miss my peoples, but it’s time for a change.
I will miss the doggos the most but will hopefully be seeing you at your next appointment. 🥰

My schedule is open for booking now! You can call or schedule online!
Please keep in mind this is not a daycare and it will be more of an appointment style booking where you choose the time and pick up right after! But I will be offering some Saturday appointments if week days don’t work for you!
They require rabies, bordetella, and distemper. The salon products are very high quality as well as the products in their doggy boutique!

It’s very rare I send a kiddo home incomplete, but if I do it’s for their safety and sanity. 🤍 I’m always willing to try again another day. Sometimes they’re too stressed, having a bad day, not feeling well, or everything is very new their first time. It’s totally ok! We’ll get there and figure it out together. 🥰
