Happy October! What better way to start off spooky month than a couple of black cats 🖤🐈‍⬛
Despite suspicions, black cats are often seen as GOOD luck in many cultures! They even tend to “turn color” or “rust” when their coats reflect sunlight ☀️

This week we celebrate those pets that get looked over in shelters 💚 There are so many reasons that make these less-adoptable animals amazing pets!
“Older pets are calmer — you don’t have to worry about your stuff getting knocked over. Physically challenged pets are often unaffected by their handicap — but you look like a hero. There is a pro to every con with adopting these animals.” Don’t let the breed / shelter’s classification of a dog to stop you from bringing a wonderful pet into your home. Always do your research before getting a breed!
Not ready to adopt? Here are 3 things you can do to support adopting less-adoptable pets!
1. Share photos on social media
“Social media can help many pets find their forever homes. Use your online social presence to raise awareness about less adoptable pets”
2. Educate friends and family
Tell people about certain pets being less adoptable and why they should consider adopting them. Get your loved ones involved in the cause!
3. Share your story
If you have shared your life with a less adoptable pet, come out and share your story. This will encourage other people to do the same and raise awareness of the issue.

Billy boy! 🩵💙
Billy is new to our regular walking schedule and he is so cute & friendly! Billy loves to sniff and roll in grass, and will plop down on the cool sidewalk for a break! We can’t wait til he’s allowed to swim because he is a very confident boy who wanted to go in today!!

Clifford is searching for his forever home!!!🐶🤍

Clifford enjoys spending his days playing fetch, sunbathing, cuddling, getting treats and exploring new places. He absolutely LOVES people and kids!🩵
Today the decision was made to waive Clifford’s adoption fee in hopes we can find him a home! That means, if you’re intrested in adopting clifford, you will not have to pay any adoption fee…🥳

113 days ago he was found roaming the streets and was put up for adoption… 84 days ago he was taken in by his foster family

Clifford is such a sweetheart, and we can’t believe he still hasn’t found a home. We believe clifford is around 1.5 years old, he is a high energy dog and would need to be exercised/kept active, although he settles down well and does enjoy an occasional lazy day. He is FULLY crate and potty trained.

Update on Papa, the kitty that went from a TNR case to the sweetest boy in the world looking for a home: He is WONDERFUL ! We have discovered there is not a single mean bone in this guy’s body.
