WE ARE SOUTHSIDE KENNELS!
Southside Kennels LLC is a NEW business venture designed to provide all things necessary to make sure that our clients trust in our ability to care for their beloved pets. Our main goals are to ensure that your pets truly enjoy their stay with us and that they get something positive out of the experience. We offer boarding, day care, grooming and training services that are all catered to the specific needs of your pet. We will pay special attention to the needs of your pet as you outline them in your initial visit with us. Our goal is to make you feel comfortable with us and to have your pet enjoy their stay and look forward to coming back! Our facility is 61 acres and includes dog yards for play and exercise, nature trails for relaxing walks, indoor/outdoor suites for relaxing and indoor training areas for individual consultations or group training sessions. Our grooming services are extensive and include stylish cuts and care, breed specific grooming and sc******ng as well as special needs services. In the near future we will also offer transportation, by appointment, to and from the facility. Our staff is expertly trained and our kennel manager has worked for us and helped care for our clients dogs for approximately 7 years.
Southside Kennels was started in 1997 by Dan and Cindy Long as a training facility for competition field trial dogs and show dogs. We traveled all over the US campaigning and caring for client dogs. Our dogs received excellent care and our facilities were always full and often had a waiting list for training. The dogs in our care came to us from all over the world to compete. Background experience has provided us over 40 years of experience training and caring for dogs. In addition, Cindy has given back to a breed of dog that she has cherished since childhood. Over 40 years of dedication to the Weimaraner. As a member of the Weimaraner Club of America, she has served collectively, approximately 16 years as a Board of Director and also a term as the Vice President of that organization. In addition, she has served as Chair of the Membership Committee, Chair of the Breeders Education Committee and as a member of various other Committees, including Judges Education. Our expertise includes private instruction for field/hunting dogs and their owners, conditioning for competition field and show dogs and training for the owners, pet obedience training programs for pets and their owners, problem solving for pets and their owners and specialized reproductive services under the supervision of Animal Clinic Northview. Our focus is now and has always been on forever homes for the purposefully bred dog. We are here to make that forever home wonderful through our ability to assist you in care, grooming and training!
