To my customers that I miss terribly. There is a new groomer that is starting in town this week, Jessica Meyer at Tanglewood Tails. And yes, I know her personally. I’ve known her husband since he was just a little guy. She is a very friendly and outgoing personality and she absolutely adores animals. If you are needing a groomers phone number for your fur baby, message me. I will be more than happy to give you a referral over to her

With deep sadness, Bark N Bath Grooming has closed permanently. I want to thank all of my past clients and their sweet for babies for trusting me with their care. Thank you for all of the years of loyalty and joy you all have given me.

Groomers! Don’t get burnt out. Don’t get hurt. Don’t struggle with dogs. Don’t be unsafe. The dog is not giving you a hard time, they are having a hard time. Help them. Slow down, be patient, lower your voice. Take breaks, give loves, ask permission. Warn your dogs, be kind. If the dog is not ready that’s ok. Communicate with pet parents and listen to the dogs communication. Grooming is a life skill that needs to be taught. An endurance game that needs to be honed just like teaching a dog to go through an agility course. It doesn’t happen overnight but it’s invaluable if your clients want that perfect haircut safely.

Never imagined myself being a groomer and somehow 32 years have passed. It’s not the most glamorous job in the world ...I’m sweaty, dirty, stress out and definitely covered with hairs. Nothing glamorous about being a groomer but it does gives a lot satisfaction when those doggies walked out looking good. I thought it was just a job to make them look good but I never knew it would make me invest so much of my emotion into it. Whenever I lose a dog due to old age or sickness or accidents.. my heart breaks although they are not mine . Owners called and cried on the phone to break the news and I’m speechless, helpless, and heartbroken… you know you did right when they call to inform u the first thing when the dog is gone. They maybe my clients but the bond is more like a friend or a family. So to all groomers out there, thank u for doing your best. Many people would say ‘ just a dog’...but they weren’t , and never will be just a dog. For groomers just starting out... brace yourself for heartbreaks ....but it’s worth the journey.. they have so much love to give you.
I’m proud to be a groomer and want to thank all of my clients for letting me be part of your fur babies lives.
