Very cold temperatures are forecast Monday morning. Minimum Apparent Temperatures (aka wind chill) of -10 to -25 are forecast. The coldest values are forecast for both northeast Nebraska and southeast Nebraska for Monday morning where cold weather advisories are in effect. Bundle up! Make sure pets have shelter from the cold.

The remaining term is through December of 2026.Your resume will be reviewed by the Mayor who will make an appointment to The City Council who will then need to approve the appointment.

🌨❄️Attention City of Peru, Nebraska please be aware with the impending snow this weekend that per city ordinance 72.11 Snow; weather emergencies; highway maintenance: it is not permitted to park on any street at any time within 12 hours of snow when 3 or more inches is expected until the snow is cleared. This includes all of the city's streets including areas where parking is normally allowed. The priority for plowing begins with 5th Street. Please give the maintenance crew your grace and appreciation as they will likely put in long hours this weekend clearing our roads!🌨❄️

Update: The break has been located and stopped! Attention City of Peru, Nebraska, there is a major waterline break on campus. The water tower level is dropping. Our maintenance crew is working on locating it and stopping the break, please use as little water as possible throughout the night to conserve our tower levels. The city will post updates as we have them. Thank you for your assistance with this matter.
