As we roll into youth Turkey this weekend, I would love to wish you all the best of luck to those heading out. It’s you and your youth hunters that keep me going and doing what I do. I appreciate each and every one of my clients, trying to make your vision and mount as custom as you like. I am wrapping up the last of my deer skulls this next week just in time. The beetles are ready and hungry for your turkey skulls, and I am ready to preserve your hunt. You will never get them this clean boiling! The high heat will weaken and break down the bone structure compromising the bone. Patience is the name of this game, you also might want to hold onto your eclipse glasses for these in direct sunlight they can hurt the eyes😂. Down to 11 left for the season and it’s onto turkey season.

This alligator was cleaned and degreased for over a year. In the degrease process alligators are notorious for falling apart. Just after beetles the teeth come out they are all hollow it’s a puzzle game. After a year I finally won the degrease battle and man this piece is one of my favorite ones I’ve ever done.

One day left to get me your deer heads as I will be finished taking them for this season. I will still take them and put them in my freezer if you can’t store them, but won’t start degreasing again unless I get 10 heads built up. Other than that I will start them again in October 2024. So if you are wanting a head done soon please bring it asap tomorrow is the last day. Thanks again for an awesome season!

As of January 10th 2024 three days after Indiana season closes. I will not be taking on anymore heads to degrease for the season. My goal is to have all heads finished and done before Turkey season or close to it. It’s not cost efficient for me to have tanks running all year chasing just a few heads brought in here and there. I currently have all heads in degrease from 2023 season, so I should be on schedule for April. Heads brought to me after January 10th will be put in the freezer until September 2024. So I urge you all to bring me what you got sitting in the freezer as the deadline for what I will work on this year is approaching. Thank you all for your business and may you all have a Happy New Year.

A year ago the brother in law gave me these reindeer antlers and said just do something with them. Well with the wife’s creativeness, we found a way to use them. No this will not be a common thing here, just thought it was cool and had to share.

I don’t give these guys enough credit for what they do. I have received 52 heads so far this year and I have 8 more to beetle clean. That means they have already cleaned 44 😳.

Huge shout out to all you supporters out there that keep me going. Remember kids boiling is bad I know it hurts to hear, but it really is terrible for a skull. I know, because I used to do it that way. No more burners here just quality.

Well tomorrow is the day we have all been waiting for. I will also be out deer hunting, so if you need a head done just text and I will try to let you know when I’ll be around. Just wanted to thank everyone that has shared my page, whether it was by sharing on here, or word of mouth. I have been able to meet some of the coolest people and hear some awesome hunting stories since you have sent people my way. This year I was trying to weigh in on how long I was going to keep going. It all depends on work and heads received, keeping the beetles alive is a daily job even in the summer. I’m always in the shop this time of year. I figured I wouldn’t get to many this year and I am sitting at 16 skulls as of tonight already. My goal is to hit 40,
time will tell in a few weeks if I can make that goal. I had a return customer last night. She left a voicemail hoping I was still doing beetle cleaning, that her and her husband loved my work. They brought the head over last night talking about the older work I did. I said how is it holding up? She said very well it’s better than anything else we have ever had done still bright white. The husband said it’s great that’s why we are back here and telling everyone to come to you. We are just glad you are still doing it. I’m not good at marketing and not great with tech, but all you sharing, and tagging my business, where people are asking for a euro have kept me going. I will always put quality 1st. So thank you all I appreciate all of you for helping me grow.

Cleaning the beetle tanks the last few weeks, I hear people say I want to do that how do I get started? First off study this ain’t for the faint of heart, these guys die easily, you have to monitor humidity and temp not in your enclosures, but also out side of them. These guys are also killed by mites, and other invasive bugs. Which ride in on house flies and other means such as rotten heads and Nate. They also fill there enclosure with frass that needs to be cleaned out and frozen every so often to kill off what’s in it. O and if they get out they eat everything so your walls, sheds and barns are not safe. So let someone like me take your worries away and give you a mount that will last forever, prepping for fall starts now. See you all soon and goodluck out there this year.
