Please be kind to opossums. Many of them find a cozy place to combat the cold. So many we see are missing parts of tails, ears and toes due to previous frost bite-- and your garage or porch may be the only place they have. Opossums won’t hurt anything-- promise-- and shooing them out may be certain death due to lack of shelter. They are Northern America’s ONLY marsupial. And these precious souls eat fleas, ticks and other pests.

Meet the Ili Pika, last seen terrorizing Bill Murray on the set of Caddyshack.

This adorable muppet lives exclusively in Northwestern China, and it’s estimated that fewer than a thousand remain in the wild, officially classifying them as an endangered species.

These beady-eyed herbivores live at higher altitudes in the Tianshan Mountains and don’t live in fear of many predators..but unfortunately they do make a delicious midnight snack for the highly elusive Snow Leopard.

While the local Chinese refer to them as “Magic Bunnies”, they are not the same thing you found in your Step-Mom Kelly’s dresser drawer.
