Good morning and welcome to Tongue Out Tuesday brought to you by Suzy! Suzy is available for adoption here in the Lounge and, like all our felines, has been spayed, is current on vaccinations and has been microchipped.
**Did you know that not all animals available for adoption have been altered (spayed/neutered)? Some organizations leave this task to the adopter who then may be put on a long wait list and left with an expensive surgery. Do your research and know the answer to this important question: has the animal your looking to adopt been altered?

This innocent little face! This is Suzy and she has joined our free roaming cats here in the Lounge.
‼️ WARNING‼️ Suzy has been classified as a “Back Jumper”. You bend over, walk by a cat tree or any other perch she may be on and she launches off of it and onto you! Don’t worry, our volunteers will help pry her off.

To welcome our flock of kittens to the Lounge, we attempted to have a photo shoot with little girlie Chickadee… she seems to think her better side is her back side. Who are we to argue? We think it’s pretty spectacular, too! Chickadee and her litter mates, born in August of 2024, are currently in a private room and require an approved application to meet. Adopted! Well that was fast! We hardly got to know Sammy before his furever family found him, packed his little kitty bag of belongings and took him home! We sure do appreciate everyone who allows us to help them adopt a furry family member, it truly is an honor! If you’re looking for love in the form of a feline companion, come see us, we have many to choose from!

Getting to know this sweetie pie is an absolute pleasure! This is Smoky. Smoky is a small adult male who came to us from a sad situation. Smoky lived with his human in a senior care facility and when his human passed away, there was no one there who could take him in and so he was let outside to fend for himself. Fortunately for him, we just happen to have an angel 😇 in the area who found him, rescued him and brought him into our program. Having lived in a calm and quiet senior care facility, our busy and very loud Lounge was a sensory overload and he hid for a couple days. The great news is, he’s acclimating quickly and we are seeing that he is a true love bug. Welcome to our program, Smoky, you’ll never be left on the streets to fend for yourself ever again. We promise.

Adoption Update! Awwwww, we love him! Our favorite man, Peabody, stopped in with his human for a mani/pedi this weekend. Nail trims are something we offer to all of our adopters and it’s a win/win: they get the benefit of a cat with trimmed nails and we get to visit with a cat we loved and cared for here in the Lounge. Thanks for coming in, Peabody, it was great seeing you and your wonderful human!

**When kittens and cats first arrive at Morti’s, or if they are shy and frighten easily, to make sure there is a smooth transition from quiet foster home to our bustling Lounge, they live in their own private room. In-room visitors will be limited to those who have an approved application and are ready to adopt.
**Guests who just want a quick kitty or cat cuddle, are invited to spend time with our free roaming cats.
**Please remember our policy that kittens need another kitten about their same age in their new home so they can play and continue to learn social manners. And it just so happens we have a few!

We may not have many free roaming kitties in our Lounge right now, but don’t be fooled, we actually have quite a few cats available for adoption! We have lots of cats in our “welcome rooms“ because they are new to the Lounge. Often times cats in transition are nervous and need a quiet area to decompress and acclimate and they’re more comfortable having the privacy that a smaller room offers. If you’re looking to adopt and have an approved adoption application, we want you to meet all of our cats, including those in our private rooms.

Each adoption starts with completing an application followed by a candid but friendly interview process. We want to make sure that the adoption is the BEST fit for everyone involved. We always put the animal's best interest first. Kittens are most often adopted in pairs *unless you have a young and playful cat at home*

* Only human family members are required to meet potential cats.
* All adopters are required to present government issued ID
* Don't forget to bring an open heart. ❤️

He impressed one and all with his good looks and fun personality when he came to our spay and neuter clinic. He’ll be arriving in the Lounge as space allows.

We’ve been super busy this week as we welcome new cats into our private rooms here in the Lounge. We hope to get our website up to date today so you can easily see all of the cats we have available for adoption. This beauty is Kiwi, a young adult who has just weaned her babies and wants to be adopted so she can begin her next chapter as we start this New Year!
