At just 8 weeks old, we saw this sweet Redbone Coonhound puppy, Pancake, for a painful mouth. After a comprehensive oral assessment under anesthesia, Dr. Carter discovered that in addition to an overbite, Pancake had a fractured lower left jaw.

This pup-cake is feeling much "batter" now! 🥞 🐾 We will see her again in a few months to assess the development of her permanent teeth. Thank you to Dr. Silva with Animal Hospital of Cloverdale for entrusting us with Pancake’s care!

Check out Duke and his shiny new crowns! Duke was adopted with severely worn teeth (abrasion) to the point there was pulp exposure of all 4 canine teeth. Rather than removing these strategic teeth, we performed root canal therapy and placed metal crowns that would be more resistant to wear and allow him to enjoy a pain-free and more durable mouth.

We extend a huge thank you to Creature Crowns for helping us add a little sparkle to Duke’s smile! And a heartfelt thanks to Dr. Kureshi from Cupertino Animal Hospital and Duke’s family for giving us the opportunity to care for him.

Annabelle never fails to impress with her ever-changing bow collection 🎀

This adorable 10-month old Shih Tzu was referred to our clinic by Dr. Hart at Alderbrook Pet Hospital. Annabelle had a few dental issues, including retained baby teeth, undererupted adult teeth, missing adult teeth, and some trauma to the floor her mouth due to her underbite.

Under the expert care of Dr. Hannahbess Thomson-Laing, Annabelle underwent a successful procedure to address these concerns. All remaining baby teeth were extracted to pave the way for proper dental development and a healthy bite.

We are happy to report that Annabelle is healing beautifully! Sporting a new bow and a radiant smile, she's ready to spread joy wherever she goes! Thank you Dr. Hart for trusting us with Annabelle's care!

This cheetah's fur wasn't the only thing marked with spots! Baruti is a 4 year-old 97lbs cheetah who was referred by Dr. Famini to see Dr. Carter to address the complicated crown fracture on his upper right canine tooth and the uncomplicated crown fracture with near pulp exposure of his upper left canine tooth. Recognizing the importance of preserving these teeth for Baruti's well-being as a wild cat, the Wild Cat Education & Conservation Fund decided to proceed with root canal therapy on both teeth.

With the assistance of Dr. Famini, Brianna & Kelly, Baruti was carefully monitored under anesthesia while Dr. Carter performed the endodontic treatment.

This adorable cat, Stinky, was referred to Dr. Hannahbess Thomson-Laing by Dr. Rathie with Banfield Pet Hospital for a firm rostral mandibular mass. Dr. Hannahbess took a biopsy of the mass and extracted the associated incisors.

In a charming twist, this whiskered friend was previously known as Typo for his extra toes. However, by the time of discharge, his parents had affectionately renamed him Stinky! 🐱🐾
