NEW HALF LEASE AVAILABLE

💙Meet River, an 8-year-old thoroughbred gelding who calls Strides home. Standing at 16.1 hands, he has a wonderful temperament and the sweetest personality. River is level-headed and steady, offering smooth, comfortable gaits. His owner is loving him so much but is limited on time so looking to share him via a half lease with an adult rider (in house).

We LOVE our summers spent with our campers at the barn and we miss those days all year long, which is why we're excited to announce our Thanksgiving & Christmas break camps!

Session 1: November 25th, 26th, 27th

Session 2: December 23rd, 26th, 27th

Session 3: December 30th, 31st, January 1st, 2nd, 3rd

This camp features a variety of engaging activities, including horse care, handling, grooming, outdoor games, arts and crafts, and of course, riding! Campers will enjoy daily riding lessons with our experienced trainers, along with mounted games and ba****ck riding. Give your kids an exciting and adventurous Christmas and Thanksgiving break by enrolling them today!

Our program is one of my favorite programs in the barn!!!! The ability to catch ride horses you don’t know, make friendships within the barn that last a lifetime and participate in a team experience in what is generally a very individual sport are just a few of the reasons I love it so much!!

🌿 Meet Callie! Callie was born a twin! This is super rare in horses and attributes to her small size. She was originally named Tavis which is a Scottish name meaning twin!

Callie came to our barn many years ago as the first horse for Maddie - our fabulous Tina's daughter! She ended up staying for many years as a privately owned show horse competing in the Equitation, Small Hunters and Jumpers! She was sold years ago and then during 2020, Maggie received a call about this lovely mare from a friend and then decided to buy her back and have her stay with Strides! Callie is an absolute rock-star and will take is slow and easy with more beginners on the flat but then really come to life once she is jumping! She is barn favorite and has spent the last few years as a lease horse teaching many of our riders how to canter and master jumping!

Horse show in a box 🤣

Had the most fantastic day with the iea team setting the jumps, making the team packets, prepping horses, prepping stalls and all of the details for the iea show tomorrow! And somehow this is my only photographic evidence 🤦‍♀️

Happy Strides Anniversary to one of our best, Emily!
This week is Emily’s 6th anniversary working for Strides as an instructor. She also is head coach of our IEA and Sonoma State Equestrian teams, and owner of one of the best, goofiest boys we have, Bear!🐴

In honor of Emily’s 6th year anniversary, we asked her why she loves riding so much. She said: “I love the fact that with riding horses it’s always dynamic and ever changing, I can always grow, always learn, no matter how long I’ve been doing it.”
