Leash walking is one of the harder obstacles for most dogs to overcome. It takes consistency and time. We will make another video about pulling at a later date! And if you want specialized training on this topic, message me and I can schedule you and your dog an appointment with Jake!
We use all of these tips and tricks in our breeding program and highly recommend you use them too! 🤍🐶 #puppytraining #puppytrainingtips #goldenretrieverpuppy
Jake received training @berginuniversity (a school for service dogs). While he was there he learned a lot about temperament testing and how to properly assess puppies and dogs! Here he explains what he looks for during our temperament testing!
The pups are 2 weeks old and have now entered into the transitional phase!

In the sensitive period (from 3-8 weeks), canine relationships are extremely important! This is when the puppies are learning to interact with dogs! At around 7 weeks is when the non-canine relationships become important! Non-canine relationships could mean bonding with humans, but also with other animals as well!
Currently, the puppies’ brains are hypersensitive to their environment! The way we treat them during this time can have a positive or very negative effect on the rest of their lives! Our goal is to introduce them many different experiences over the next several weeks! The experiences do not have to be long, but the puppies must feel safe and experiences should vary! Our goal is to introduce one to two novel items per day! Watch us grow confident and resilient puppies 😍
The puppies are 3 weeks old this week! I love watching their littler personalities begin to emerge! They love belly rubs and they have begun playing with one another and talking too!
As a speech therapist, communication is my jam and I find it fascinating that puppies/dogs communicate in their own way too! Puppies are pretty easy to read by the communication they put out! If they’re unhappy, they screech; if they’re repositioning, they grunt; and if they’re content or happy they mew or are dead silent! If puppies are constantly vocalizing this is a sign that they may be sick, so we always are listening to their communication! Listen to hear their different forms of communication 🤩
