Happy 4th anniversary to the most loving husband a wife could ask for! I remember being so nervous to marry Jake because I knew it was such an important, impactful and serious decision and I wanted to make sure I was marrying the right guy! I decided to make the leap of faith and I’m SO glad I did! Jake and I got married in the middle of Covid lockdown! Our wedding was cancelled 4 times and our honeymoon was cancelled 6 times! The 6th cancellation happened the day of our wedding, so we had no idea where we would go! The morning after our wedding, we made a random decision to go to Arizona (it was the only place that was living life on the edge- we wanted to be edgy😂), so we booked a flight that day and arrived in Arizona 6 hours later! Life is filled with beautiful blessings and you are the biggest blessing I have ever received. I married you because I knew you would be the Ephesians 5 husband that the Bible talks about. Your heart is full of love. Thank you for loving me unconditionally and for always pointing me back to Christ! These past 4 years have been filled with so much sweetness. I have enjoyed every phase of this life with you, especially seeing you as a dad! I love you so much!

Happy Father’s Day to the three father’s in my life. It always feels surreal to me that I was so incredibly blessed to have two loving father’s love me unconditionally while growing up. One was my biological father, and like me, he shared a love for dogs (+cows). He tragically passed away when I was a teenager and there isn’t a day that goes by that I do not miss him! The second photo is of my step father who raised me since I was a baby. He never had to love me as his own, yet he always did. And the third father to be is my amazing husband! Many of you don’t know this, but I met Jake on a mission trip in Mexico and on that trip I fell in love with his heart for working with the youth. I have no doubt that Jake is going to make the most amazing father and I cannot wait to watch him thrive in that role! Happy Father’s Day to all the Dad’s out there! You are so important 🥰

This is a very emotional story for me, but I wanted to share! Yesterday Chomsky, and I went to visit a very special someone in our lives at the hospital (her face is not posted because I know she wouldn’t want that). When we first arrived, she was very lethargic and had not been communicating for a few days. I woke her up to tell her that Chomsky, Jake and I were there for a visit! She opened her eyes, but she was unable to smile or move her limbs. We continued to talk to her and then I decided to ask Chomsky to jump up on her side of the bed, when she saw him, she began to smile, which was such a huge change from the first part of our visit, but still no words! I sat there with her trying to get her to communicate (after all, I am a speech pathologist), but she wouldn’t! So instead, I let Chomsky back up on her bed to give her kisses! Then, it was time for us to leave, right as we were about to leave, she looked at Chomsky, Jake and I and she said “thank you” and then I told her we would bring Chomsky back and she said “good” and then I told her I loved her and she said, “I love you too.” My heart was filled with so much happiness in that moment! And I must say that I have to give Chomsky all the credit for this visit because I really do think that he was the only reason she smiled and the only reason she began to communicate! Dogs are amazing and today my heart is praising the Lord for Chomsky!!!

Chomsky passed his Urban Test today! With him passing Canine Good Citizen, Canine Urban and his public access test. We cannot wait to see him thrive as a facility dog. He’s the goodest boy 🥰

The new logo of Stage Gulch Goldens! Alright everyone, here’s the story. I have been trying to come up with a logo for years! I have hired several people to create logos for me and I have not liked any of them (I can be super picky, can you tell?)! Finally, last year, I gave up! Anyway, fast forward to yesterday and surprised me with this design, he created the layout! To my surprise, I LOVED it! It is comprised of my favorite colors and it has my favorite boy at the center of it all! So with that being said, I have made an executive decision and this will now be our Stage Gulch logo! I hope you all like it just as much as I do! Huge shout out to my husband who knows me even better than I know myself!
