Getting anxious Major to enjoy going into the crate!
Lumi board and train 7 month old Samoyed practicing recall!
Major is a 14 month old GSD in for reactivity towards people and dogs and aggression when being touched. This is our first session after morning potty. He has nice food drive but is quite nervous in the kennel and did have a go at the leash. He will redirect at even a bit of slip leash pressure so putting him in the kennel and taking him out for now will be with a catch pole for our safety until we have our relationship built up a bit.
I do not usually use my voice this much in first session nor most sessions but he seemed to enjoy the food so pairing my praise voice after the reward will start creating a positive emotion to my voice. We are loading a marker and adding basic rules via slip leash paired with food . He didn't redirect in this time period yahooo!
Yes we work with aggressive dogs Loki came to us 2 years ago he had bitten everyone in the house. We now board him and his sweet housemate Bailey so his owners could go on vacation worry free. I couldn't help myself to a tune him up a bit and make sure he's good being bushed all over. He is a sweet dog but had learned that biting avoids things he prefers not to deal with like being put in the kennel , bum being brushed, etc. No more bitting just acceptance of the behavior even though he doesn't enjoy it. Good boy
There is a bit of a rumor we only work with German Shepherds. That is definitely not the case. Now I do have a bit of a GSD obsession personally but that's my flavor and hobby. We train all breeds, temperaments, ages, and sizes. Featuring 3 month old Dash 2.5lb pounds Yorkie mix in for board and train and Uzi my personal pup 15 months old 85lbs GSD
Mika the 2 year old husky board and train first time with handler not holding the line. Yes almost completely fenced in area as this is only week 4 of ecollar but basically I am checking in on her handler awareness and swiftness to listen to see what needs tuning up. More recall proofing g needed by distractions but this is fantastic behavior π
Board and Train Paddinton in for Dog Reactivity on the leash. He's taking our reactive dog course 6 weeks which will include off leash obedience!
Minka such a beautiful girl π
Yet another Husky girl with us this week! Minka completed our off leash obedience course last year and is in for boarding and helping teach one of our in training students how to achieve complete off leash obedience with any breed of dog! Yes Huskies can be off leash trained AND reliable. Look at her go!
