My husband and I found Zuko in a neighborhood while we were doing Doordash. He was running in and out from under cars and we saw him almost get hit a number of times. He was friendly and wearing a collar, so we almost left but then he jumped into our car and refused to leave. I found the house he belonged to because I thought he might have accidentally gotten out. Turns out they had found him and were just taking care of him outside until someone would take him because everyone in their house was allergic to cats. We offered to take him to find him a home and they were immensely grateful. We didn't know what we were getting into 😅
We named him Zuko hoping that would lead to his redemption arc. We're about to get to season 2 Zuko right now and we're trying to find the perfect uncle Iroh for him to guide him to his season 3 redemption arc. Since he was a stray, he has always been VERY food motivated. When we first got him he would steal the food from your mouth if you took too long to eat it. We've gotten him to the extent that he can be out while you're preparing/eating food, you just have to be vigilant. He gets along with cats and dogs but he tends to pick fights and play too rough still even though he has made a lot of progress in the time we've had him. Some alone time with a caring person with a guiding and gentle hand would do him a lot of good.
He also wears a harness well and likes to go outside and we think he would make a great hiking buddy. If you're looking for a challenge that once you come out the other side you'll have a best friend for life, look no further, cus here's Zuko 🔥
