Bad breath can be a sign of dental disease. Regular brushing can help reduce the risk of dental problems. However, professional dental cleanings and oral exams are a critical part of your pet’s dental care.
World Diabetes Day is celebrated every year on November 14th, the birthday of Sir Fredrick Banting. Banting was one of the co-discoverers of insulin over 100 years ago. Today, his discoveries continue to help people and pets across the world.
It's Andi Sue's birthday today! Please join us in wishing her a happy birthday!
Andi Sue has been with Chesdin Animal Hospital for almost two years. She started working with us part-time during her senior year of high school and loved it so much that she went full-time as soon as she graduated. Andi Sue can be seen doing a little bit of everything from helping clients at the front desk to assisting doctors in exam rooms and in surgery. While she loves all animals, she has a special fondness for farm animals. She is pictured with one of our clients’ lambs named Joy. During her free time, Andi Sue enjoys being outdoors. She loves hunting and spending time with her animals. She has two beloved walker hounds named Waylon and Tootie. Andi Sue is interested in becoming a veterinarian technician and looks to start classes in the near future but is focusing on gaining all the experience she can in the meantime.
Happy birthday, Amy!
Amy Grenoble is the practice manager of Chesdin Animal Hospital and has been with the company since 2013. She is involved with the many aspects of managing the daily business affairs of the hospital, including inventory and account management.
She lives in Dinwiddie County with her husband, Dr. Richard D. Grenoble, and their children Sophia and Alexander. Amy graduated from Ferrum College with B.S degrees in Biology and Environmental Science with a minor in Chemistry.
At home, they have chickens and quail and a hound named Hailey who was rescued from Grenada, West Indies. Amy is active within St. Joseph Parish and likes spending time with family and friends, traveling, photography, watching movies, and reading books.
As well as managing the business affairs of the animal hospital, Amy organizes community projects such as rabies clinics within the county, visits to schools, and integration of students interested in the veterinary field.
Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control, we will be unable to see patients today. The water line coming into the clinic is damaged. The water authorities have been notified and are on site currently. We will not be open as we are unable to treat any patients, conduct surgery or grooming until the county fixes the water line. We apologize for any inconvenience and will keep everyone posted on when we can resume normal operations.
It’s not everyday that we get these cute little babies in here! They loveee their peanut butter and Cheez-it’s.😁
