Veterans Day: City Facilities Closed🇺🇸

In recognition of Veterans Day, city facilities including the Pflugerville Public Library, Animal Welfare Services, Recreation Center, Recycle Center and city offices will be closed on Monday, November 11.

Trash and recycling pickup will not be affected. For water issues during the closure, call the Police Department's non-emergency line at 512-990-6700. For all emergencies, dial 9-1-1.

National Adopt a Shelter Dog month is over, but November is National (Adopt a) Senior Pet Month! We have a handful of older cats and dogs who have been overlooked and who very desperately need homes, so this month their adoption fees are waived!!

We all had so much fun at last Saturday's Trunk or Treat!! We had a great turnout and we want to thank every single one of our trunks for giving it 110%, we quite literally could not have done this without you all.

Not only did we raise hundreds for Friends of the Pflugerville Animal Shelter
Not only did we have a turnout of over 500+
Not only did we shine spotlights on dozens of local businesses
. but we also created unforgettable memories for children in the community, and that is priceless!! Please--share your experience in the comments below! Which trunk was your favorite? Share with us any photos you took!

A huge thank you to our volunteers and staff who worked to make sure everything ran smoothly. We can't wait for next year's Trunk or Treat--lets make it the best we've ever had!!

Kyle's our second-longest stay at the shelter, coming in at 238 days. For him, we've saved our best costume for last! Just look at him!! We ask him what he thinks of being at the shelter for so long: "hogwash" he says. Kyle is a Starmark-trained pup and is an all-around favorite at the shelter.

This October, Kyle and all our other pups are PFREE adoptions at PAWS!
