I wanted to take some time to thank all of you for your support and encouragement and comments. It means more to me than I’ll ever be able to express.
This nightmare has been one complication after another. I went from being a person that had never even broken a bone or been hospitalized for anything to a stage 4 terminal cancer! During this process I have had 19 prescriptions. I have had an xray, a CT scan, an endoscopy, a blood clot by my pancreas, a bleeding ulcer, excruciating pain, internal bleeding, my pancreas pushing up on my stomach so much that it was blocking anything from going through my stomach so I was just throwing up everything I ate, to a stent in my stomach, another endoscopy, a colonoscopy, to a nerve block, to non-stop diarrhea, to another Xray and CT scan, blood clot in my lungs, to pneumonia, an ECHO Cardiogram and finally had my first round of chemotherapy this week! My life has completely changed! My world is nothing like it was! I get winded just walking from my room to the front door.
I am so very thankful that I am able to stay with my Mom, who has done her absolute best to take care of me (despite the things she has going on in her life with her husband and her own health. I am so grateful for my brother and dad giving up their Sundays to come see me and spend time with me. I can’t imagine how it feels to be a parent and have your children both be diagnosed with cancer in the same week (yes, my brother is battling cancer as well, but, his will be removed this coming week). I am so thankful for my friends, other relatives and my clients that have wished me well and genuinely care about me and my journey.
This has been the scariest thing I have ever experienced and I appreciate EVERY comment, thought, prayer, well wishes, kind gesture, flowers, cards, reading material, soups made for me, toiletries bought for me, my dogs being taken care of, the GoFundMe donations….but most of all, I appreciate YOU! So, thank you!! Xoxox
