Lila finally adopted. She has been with me since she was 6 weeks old and was threatened last of her litter to be adopted. She was with me for 1 year and 3 months and all though I already miss her. I am so happy for her in finding this perfect forever home for her. Her Adopters a fun loving traveler thst traler around the states in a RV and go home in the summer time to Vermont! Lila fits their personalities so much and I can't be any happier. Lila will get to go see more than I ever will be able to go see. Her Adopters weren't even bothered by her little flaw of not liking furry things that are smaller than her. They will keep a close watch on her to make sure nothing under 35 lbs gets near her firecracker self.

Have a happy life Lila. This is what you deserve. I love you so much and I already miss you dearly, but I will break my heart a million times over and over again just to see 1 dog get their happily ever after. My heart break is so worth your forever happiness!
Now go see what the rest of the United States has to offer you! Have fun my sweet girl. I will always remember you!

Life has been very busy for me and I haven't even had a chance to start adding numbers up and sending off the donation tax letters. If you are in need of the document quickly for your taxes please shoot me a text and I will go and do yours right away and get it in the mail to you. And for others that are not in a hurry I apologize for them going to be late. I know I am supposed to have them mailed out by January 31st and I promise it will get done just behind a bit.

Ginger finally did it. She found her forever family and the perfect one at that! Ginger stole all the attention over all the dogs today at Petco. Every one all went straight to her. She got out and met several differnt families but this family she really worked her magic. She was giving her 100 % of her attention while the other families she was more distracted from their attention with everything else going on. They went home and got their other dog to do a meet and greet and they both went towards each other full on and it was on from there. They play just the same so are going to make the best play mates for each other. So glad that Ginger hit it off with this family. She couldn't have picked a better family to be her forever. Ginger has been with me for 10 months now since she was a tiny tiny puppy. She spent her puppy hood in rescue, which is sad. It was past her time to go see what the real world is all about.
Have a great life sweet girl! I am missing you already but so glad you can finally see what a real home is all about! Love you sweet girl, You deserve it .

We are headed right now to petco in Columbus on whistles toll around 4/430. Come meet these babies and a couple more will also be there. Will also have pecan in the shell for sale and some house plants for sale. The money raised off of the pecans and house plants will go to the vetting and supplies needed for the Four Stepping Stones Rescue dogs.

Cinnamon is ready to find her happily ever after. She is a older sweet and calm pomeranian . She is not a nippy dog doesn't expect a lot of attention. She is happy just to be in the same room with room. When she sees you go into the kitchen she make sure she follows you right behind to make sure you don't have any accidents and drop any thing on the floor. She will quickly help you out and pick it up for you. She knows exactly what goes on in the kitchen. She does well with other dogs but bigger dogs will make he a bit nervous at first. She is also one of those dogs thst isn't all up other dogs business and expects the same out of them. She would be okay around kitties and I'm not sure around kids but I believe she would be okay around kids thst know how to respect dogs and treat her gently. She is older so her hearing is not all that great she recently had a dental and all but four teeth had to be pulled so soft food is best for her. She is also house trained and knows how to go out a dog door. She crates fine but really doesn't need one since she is out of the stage of tearing up and chewing things.

Slim gone in a trial adoption!

Mr. Barr adopted JoJo a little over a year ago and they were the perfect match for each other. Mr Barr were bonded instantly. Jo Jo sadly passed away a year later of cancer. Mr. Barr has taken a couple dogs home on a trial but was mkt the match he was looking for. So we decided to give Slim a try. Slim may not equal out to how Jo jo were instantly that perfect match but I believe he will come out pretty close. No dog will ever come close to taking JoJl's place but we can try our best to find a runner up and I believe we have it with Slim. Slim is a gentle and loving dog that is so willing to please.

Go show them your all Slim. I know you can do thus. Love yard sweet boy. I will get to see you for your grooming appts every month!

It's a record day! You all remember grumpy old man. He went on a trial adoption about a month ago with another old man but it no way came near an adoption. He said he got grumpily with him as every day came so into weeks he was brought back. Nit long after being brought back a friend and a client stopped by and all be darned she went right up to old man to pet and old man let her. There was no time to tell her to becareful reaching towards, he will bite you before you have time to back away. To my surprise he let her pet him and he was actually happy about it. Old man is not up for very much attention. Pnly wjen he wants itm . Today he went on another trial run. Every one please cross your fingerìs really really tight. This old man has got to give in and let some one give him a home so he can live his last years in a home and happy.

Be nice old man! This may be your last chance at a home of your own!

With tears streaming down my face I am posting to say "FOZZIE IS ADOPTED" His new dad said he is exactly what he has been looking for, his size and temperament is perfect . Fozzie will gets lots of love, hugs, pets, and kisses because his new dad just loves to do all of them all the time. He is also going to get fed well as his mom says twice a day isn't enough. She stretches the meals out to 4 times a day. Fozzie is moving up to North Georgia so he will get to see snow, his first snow, this winter. I'm so happy for Fozzie and I don't think there could be a better family for him. Happy life Fozzie. I love you so much. I love you so much that I break my heart so you can live your best life! Now go live that wonderful new life of yours and don't you ever look back!

I have been super busy and haven't had a chance to do a update on slim but he possibly can come home tomorrow. I will make a post later and explain what is going on. But for the moment please fingers crossed. Fozzie has a meet and greet coming from north ga. Praying they adopt. He had a excellent vet reference.

Fozzie has been here in rescue since he was 6 weeks old and. Now almost a year old. He did get adopted as a small puppy only for a couple months later was found as a stray in ruseel County animal control and we couldn't get in touch with his adopter so back here he came. He has been nothing but the perfect boy and my little protector. He is such a loyal dog to his person. Cross those fingers very tightly

Okay. I'm really begging! Cinnamon's dental theater day was $458 and today's vet bill was a little over $300 totally up to $790 leaving $10 on the rescue account. Slim is needing to go to Auburn emergency vet. They are not sure what is going on with him and was told he needed to go to Auburn but with what am I going to take himcto Auburn with? Please help me help Slim. He is in bad shape and we are not sure what is wrong with him. Dr. HOLT said she is very worried for him. But I have to have a deposit for Auburn to take him!

Humphrey is the dog that was at my fence when I woke up one morning. Because of me being already overwhelmed with the amount of dogs that I have I tried to shoo him away and just hope for the best for him but he stayed right there at my fence running up and down the fence with the dogs so I finally let him in to eat and to drink and then opened the fence for him to go home. He never went out so I tried to make him go out and nope it wasn't happening. He done decided he wasn't leaving so with that being on a Saturday I just figured I would call animal control on Monday and keep him safe until then. But.....in that 2 days he showed me what a special boy he is and come Monday I couldn't send him to that scary place. When Gunner would go up to the fence trying to fence fight him, Humphrey would just stand there with a shocked look on his face and you could see in his eyes he didnt understand why he was doing that. He would go over to the other fence where the others went out to play and he would stand there watching them and wag his tail the whole time. And once again when they would go up to the fence barking in his face he would just stand there trying to understand what their problem was. Some one come up to my face yelling, I'm yelling back . So Monday came and here 2 weeks later he is still here. He annoys the hell out of me with his jumping up on me doing what gave him his name but he was fixed yesterday and with consitemce of correcting him he will eventually stop. So with all that being said, Humphrey is ready to find his family. He is a great dog really. He listens to what he is told and he loves every one. He barks at the people walking down the road so he does his job at deterring people from entering the yard. He especially loves kids. He would do great with a active family and with kids. I believe he would do great with another active dog that loves to play. Humphrey is around 2 yrs old weighs about 50/60 lbs.

Sweet Ginger got chosen for a outing today! They picked the right dog because Ginger loves water. She stay in the baby pool here at the house. But she got to go swimming today . I'm so happy she got to go do this.

So I decided to teach the other puppies with Bears "homework" from One.Dog.Everyday. All 3 pups did really good, but this is Pans first time on a leash. He caught on soooo quick! He is so smart and soooo sweet! He is a Heeler (mix?) and they are bred to work. Please reseach the breed before applying.
