To everyone currently inquiring about rats, we DO have babies that will be available soon. I am not in a position to answer emails at the moment, however. See exhibit A. Emails will be answered beginning on Monday in the order they were received. If everyone checks out, I will NOT have enough to go around, but I have other litters planned. I also have other ratteries I’m happy to recommend if I don’t have what you’re looking for. For now, please be patient with me. I’m doing my very best after emergency dental surgery ♥️

Meg and Darwin gave us some really precious baby beans 😍 We even got a few double rex. I had a lot of fun with this photo shoot! I used a thin sheet to act as wallpaper for these cute little furniture scenes. I think more dollhouse photo shoots are in our future 🤔

Dwarf babies incoming!!! We don’t breed our dwarf colony very often, so if you want dwarf rats from Tiger Tail, now is the time to get on the wait list!! Here’s a picture of Luna and the new babies to wet your whistle 😍 I have space for one adopter to go on this list, and it’s first come, first served. This may be our only dwarf-to-dwarf breeding this year, so don’t miss out if you’ve been waiting.

Yesterday was a tough day at the rattery. It was time to say goodbye to Moogie, one of the best rats I’ve ever known. She was outgoing, sweet, and always ready for a treat. If you have a Moogie baby (or sibling), snuggle them a little for me ♥️

Here’s a few pictures from the recent photo shoot for the “sewing stuff” litter. Most of the items in the pictures are vintage or antique sewing items I inherited from my great grandmother (who probably rolled in her grave when she realized I was letting rats crawl on her things…). She passed her love of sewing on to me, though I don’t have as much time to enjoy it anymore.

The reality: not enough nuts for one ratto 😂

New baby pics are coming soon! This is a sneak peek of one of the two litters. Did you know that nuts in the shell are an EXCELLENT form of enrichment for rats? Hide the nuts around the cage, allowing them to forage for a treat. When they find it, they’ll have to work to get to the goodies inside. Almonds are the fan favorite around here, but they also enjoy Brazil nuts, filberts, and pecans ♥️🐀♥️
