Your New Best Friend is Here! 🐾

Hi there! I'm Honey Muffin, a lovable one-year-old female Parti Pomeranian pup who is safely residing at Furvivors. I am so lucky I found them.

I am a small girl (11 pounds), fully housebroken, vetted, and soon to be spayed. I enjoy walks, lots of attention and traveling. I am not a fussy eater and I love to give kisses! Like a lot of kisses! I'm ready for my forever home.

My greatest wish is to find a family who can hold me close and let me be their loyal lap puppy for the rest of my puppy life. I am great with kids and other dogs and I am trying to warm up to cats.

You should know that I have a disability in my front right leg that will require extra patience as I age.

Meet Baby Dolcetto! 🐴💙 Born right here on our sanctuary, he’s the only foal who’s truly homegrown on our farm. Watching him grow has been a heartwarming journey, and we’re excited to share it with you—from his first few weeks to the beautiful, graying young horse he is today. 🌟

When he first arrived, he was a tiny, sturdy little tank with a deep, dark coat and the sweetest face. Every day since, he’s amazed us by growing taller and stronger, already towering over his mama and carrying his papa’s Blue Roan Percheron genes with pride. And have you noticed? Dolcetto’s “graying out”—his coat lightening day by day, showing us a new, stunning color transformation with each passing week.

Life at the sanctuary has given Dolcetto a safe place to explore, bond with his mama and horsey friends, and develop his curious, gentle personality. 🥰 There’s just something special about watching him race across the pastures, explore the world around him, and grow into his big, loving heart.

This beautiful woman is the most selfless person I know. She raised me with kindness, compassion, and love my entire life. She taught me to stand up for what I believe in, and when I do, she’s right beside me. I’ll forever be proud to call her mom.

Furvivors has been busy!
We’ve been quiet on social media for a few weeks for several reasons. One reason is because we have been prepping to participate in our very first night-parade with our newly constructed life size “Gio” float. He is 8’ tall & 8’ long. How many hands is that for our horse lovers out there? 🤔

It was so much fun to decorate with lights! Our team had so much fun, in every way. Here is a great collection of the parade:

Discussion of mental health below ⚠️

September is su!c!de awareness month and I wanted to share my experiences before time keeps flying by.

I’ve struggled my entire life with my emotional and mental health, before I even knew the terms associated with my feelings. I truly believed for a long time that everyone felt the way I did. Hopeless. Sad. Depressed.

I was recently diagnosed with ADHD. Something I knew i’ve had for years but unfortunately, it’s highly under researched in women even though it’s more prominent for us.

But just because I have a term now, it doesn’t make it any easier. I struggleeee on a daily basis. I have horrible executive dysfunction (a symptom that affects the brains ability to control thoughts and emotions, making it difficult to complete tasks.)
I had so much trouble in school reaching deadlines and staying concentrated. I had difficulty absorbing and retaining information. As I grew older, it’s turned into the inability to remember simple tasks such as flipping the laundry, or doing dishes. I procrastinate everything until the last minute and spend days in bed feeling like I can’t even lift a finger.

Truth is, i’m just sad. This job is extremely demanding, emotionally and physically. So many people see my symptoms and wonder what is going on that’s making me struggle. What could I possibly be sad about? And honestly, I don’t have a reason. I’m truly living my dream life but for some reason i’m just sad.

The worst part is I can’t always release emotion. I feel the build up and the pain but my body won’t let me release. Today was the first time I’ve cried in weeks. Thinking about Figgy alone in the hospital broke me. And it honestly felt really good to let it all out.

I acknowledge that i’ll never have a completely sound mind. I’ll always struggle with a chemical imbalance. And that’s okay. This isn’t a cry for help in anyway. I just want those struggling in silence to know that I see you. I’ve been there. Many times. I promise it’ll get better. I’m always here. For literally anyone.

🚨Anyone looking for a beautiful, young Belgian that can help get her out of the pipe line, to safety 🚨

We (Furvivors) cannot take-in any new (equine) residents (we are on an intake hold) but we can help with transport, quarantine, vetting & rehab, etc.

Only 6 yo & already has bad CPL (caused mostly by untreated fly bites/mite infections).
And her feet-Omg!! AND she’s still expressing milk from a very recently pulled baby. To end up in a shipping lot 🤬

If anyone can offer her a safe landing, a forever home, please connect or message. And Furvivors will help get her a second chance of quality life.

Kelly-6 year old Registered Belgian mare, 17 hands. I do not have her papers but the fellow said we will get them. She does have a big milk leg and a full bag of leaky milk. Just had a foal pulled ( we don’t know where the foal went).

There’s a note on each wishlist item that explains the importance and intended use for the rescue. Like doormats - not for mats at the door - but to hang on the stalls as scratch pads for the horses and Bubbles🥰🐴🐮

Solar string lights - for DiDi and Rodeyo’s courtyard turnout area, to keep wildlife at bay during the night. These ladies enjoy being together and outside, especially for beautiful summer evenings. Night lights would help both of them immensely to work through their anxiety of past trauma and provide a sense of safety.

Unbreakable adhesive mirrors - for BoJack, Gio & Kasey who have terrible separation anxiety. These boys are our largest of the entire herd, and they suffer from separation trauma the most. Having motion reflections would provide them the sense that other horses are nearby and help calm their angst during times of being stalled while we are working with vets farriers and general daily care.

🔔 Do you live next door to horses, an equine facility, horse rescue, or “livestock” in general? Do you live in Pennsylvania?

In the state of Pennsylvania there are legal conditions for consumers displaying fireworks within 150 feet of a facility housing animals, without written notice.

Thank you to the Pennsylvania Equine Council for helping to see that the ‘Fireworks and Equine Safety Law was put into effect in January of last year, 2023. [ Title 3, 1204-(c) ]

This is all jokes. We love baby Dolcetto. Watching a horse learn their way around the world is the funniest and most wholesome experience. I’m so glad I was able to be apart of his journey since day one. So many new encounters everyday as a lil man born into sanctuary. Forever safe🤍
