Happy Mother's Day to our two momma cats Pamela and Spunky!

Pamela was taken in on a hot day. She was hungry, thirsty, with two visible tumors, and pregnant! Pamela's kitten did not make it 😿. But, Pamela is a survior. She recovered from her surgery and is adjusting to life indoors. She loves to play and take care of her humans with her motherly instincts.

Spunky has been a mom many times over. That's because she was put outside by her once owner. We took her and her 5 kittens of the streets! Spunky nursed and helped the kitties adjust on the journey, keeping them safe and loved. She is very happy that was her last litter! Spunky waits for a quiet, loving home 🏡.

Stray Kitty Rescue would like to extend a special thank you to Petfinder Foundation for their support in awarding us with The Cat Enrichment Grant!

This grant is helping our new and existing residents wait patiently. New cat trees have encouraged exploration and playing in all the cats. Some of our older residents like Sparkle and Spunky now run around like kittens. Mando and Sandy have been busy cuddling on the heated pads and louging in the trees while waiting to be adopted.

I’m Mando! While I was out catching a bounty a scooter hit me. I have tire marks but good thing I was found by Stray Kitty Rescue! Today I was fixed and got all my vaccines. I’ll be ready in a few days for adoption :) root for me! This is the way

Stray Kitty Rescue, saves and finds permanent homes for stray cats and kittens in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. We want to lessen the number of cats living on the streets, and make a community where stray cats are treated with compassion.

Stray Kitty Rescue, is grateful for the Kia Pet Adoption Grant, given by Petfinder Foundation. The Kia Pet Adoption Grant, makes adoption fees less expensive. In the city of Philadelphia, owners can be restricted by fees but have lots of love to give cats and kittens!

Through the Kia Pet Adoption Grant, we’ve found homes for Butterfly, Princess Leia, and Ashoka. The grant will also help Princess, Rey, Han Solo, Jyn Erso, Munchkin and Lucky!
