🌟 Client Spotlight: Raven & Luna 🌟

I’m so excited to kick off this new segment by shouting out Raven and her wild girl, Luna!

When Raven first called me, she was in tears. She had just rescued Luna from a tough situation, and let’s just say…Luna came with a LOT of challenges.
🐾 Separation anxiety
🐾 Crate struggles (and destruction outside of it)
🐾 No leash manners
🐾 Not potty trained
🐾 Basically, she was high on life—in all the overwhelming ways.

After our long initial consult, I promised Raven we’d work together to not only get her life back but make it even better for both her and Luna. 💪

And let me tell you—this woman WORKED. HER. ASS. OFF.

Raven juggles a demanding career as a labor & delivery nurse, working 12-hour overnight shifts. She’d get off work at 7 AM and show up to group class by 8 AM ready to go. No excuses. No quitting. Just pure determination.

We had some late-night phone calls full of frustration and tears, but Raven never gave up. And guess what? Luna is now a STAR. ⭐

They just crushed Thanksgiving, and Raven has been flooded with compliments from family and friends who can’t believe how far Luna has come.

Raven & Luna—congratulations on graduating! 🎓 Your hard work, dedication, and love for each other paid off, and I couldn’t be more proud. 💖

20 years!
Twenty years ago, I stopped eating meat and never looked back. In 2011, I went fully vegan. It’s been a journey of growth and perspective. For me, veganism is a philosophy, not a judgment on others. I see the world differently now than I did at 12 years old, when I made that first change—despite plenty of people telling me I’d eventually break or give in.
One day I was making fun of my sister for stopping eating meat while shoving a Wendy’s chicken sandwich. She said “okay stay up with me tonight and watch a PETA commercial (f**k peta btw). So we did, we stayed up and watched a MTV commercial (showing my age) and it was a slaughterhouse, and that’s all it took.
Every day, I live with animals in mind—their wellbeing, care, and justice. While I don’t judge anyone for eating meat, I think we can all agree that the abuse, suffering, and overproduction in the industry have gone too far.
I think what bothers me more is that anyone dare use the “use of tools” to sit here and say it’s abuse or judge my training based on it. I’ve spent more time on this earth trying to help animals.
Vegan ‘til death. Here’s to another 100 years.

This is why I keep pushing and do what I do. Trust me, no dog trainers are in this purely for money.
It’s such an amazing feeling. I’m so grateful for amazing clients and clients that want better for them and their dogs.

I was never into GOT before Drogo. He was surrender to me with that name. After everyone kept asking me if I named him that I watched the show. Binged all that I could and more.

I know dog training can feel overwhelming with all the commands, marker words, and leash techniques. I always aim to teach in a way that works best for you, but the key to success is asking questions! I love it when clients ask for clarification or examples—it helps me understand where you’re at and gives me the chance to explain things more clearly. Sometimes us trainers can get caught up in the science, but your questions bring us back to what matters most: your understanding and your dog’s progress!

Pros and cons of postponing this.
1. The heat is just very unpredictable right now. Even by 9am it’s been in the 90s and I don’t feel that’s safe for this event.
2. I am meeting with some other trainers to collaborate on making this even bigger. We’re having multiple judges, multiple clients from different trainers to make it more of a competition.
3. We are looking to early September when we can possibly count on the heat dying down a little.
Keep you eyes out in the next couple of weeks for the new date!!!

Gonna take a second to give .awesome some credit. Little backstory, I worked with Preeti in the past with her dog . They worked hard and had awesome results. Then Preeti awesomely adopted another dog who knowingly had some reactivity and pretty severe separation anxiety. We again got right to work! She’s put in hours and hours and consistency, work, love, passion and commitment. Mongo has come so far! I’m so proud of you guys!
