I hope there’s somebody out there who can help Rex!

We have to be honest about Rex - he needs to find a home as soon as possible or we fear that it may be too late.

Rex is a highly trained K9 who was destined for a life of service. Instead, he ended up at a rescue where he spent his days locked in a dirty kennel, wasting away - physically and mentally.

While our Animal Law Enforcement team was able to rescue him from that hellish situation, a shelter is no place for this smart boy to live.

He needs mental and physical stimulation that we simply cannot provide. Our volunteers and behavior staff are working him, we are coming up with novel ideas to keep his brain working - but he needs more.

Rex needs a home with experience handling dogs trained for military and law enforcement work. And he needs it NOW!

We are doing all we can to create a band-aid for him, but we know the clock is ticking.

Please share for this hero dog. It is urgent.

Lovely dog available in NW Philadelphia ~

Awoooooooooo!!!
Hope you all had a safe holiday yesterday!!

This gorgeous Husky Gal is still looking for someone to harmonize with! Her current foster needs to pass the leash in just 2 weeks! We are hoping to find her someone to sing her Husky songs with by then but a new foster will do as well!

Lana is around 2 years old, super smart, loves to talk and has a great sense of humor (as most with smarts, do!)

She has had some nice dog meets and play dates, loves kids (especially teens)! No cats though, they are too exciting and she does lose her brains over them! Hey, even the smart ones have their weaknesses!

Have more fun in life! ADOPT LANA! 🐶💓🤸🏾‍♂️

Please be on the lookout if you’re in the far end of NW Philadelphia!

NOTICE: We have not seen our beloved Tommy since yesterday (Thursday) at 4pm. If you are not aware, Tommy has lived at the Tree House for about 13 years. He is currently 17 years old and cared for by staff and friends. He is a pet and was wearing a collar with a bell.

Please respond here or by email ([email protected]) if you have seen Tommy since then. The Tree House phone is out of order.

UPDATE: Awesome news, the cat finally went in the trap this evening, and will be going to the vet tomorrow! It looks like it’s a roll of duct tape on his neck. He’s being pretty calm in the trap. Kudos to the homeowner for not giving up!

West Mt. Airy, N.E. Philadelphia:
Has anyone seen this cat? It has a can or a roll of tape around its neck. Last seen near Cherokee St between Upsal & Sharpnack. We are trying to trap him/her to have whatever it is removed. Please let us know if you have seen it!

This is north of Gettysburg, about 2 1/2 hours west of Philadelphia.

**MEET LELAND**
Hello! I am a purebred Persian named Leland, I was born about 4 years ago at a breeders house. When I turned eight weeks old I was sold to something called a "pet store". My owner bought me from the pet store and he loved me VERY much BUT a few months ago my dad decided to get a dog friend. I was fine with that until the dog started to chase me all over the house. Then the kids saw the dog chasing me and they thought it was a good idea to chase me too (for the record it was NOT a good idea). The last several weeks I have been in hiding because that is the only place I felt safe... I just don't understand what happened... Due to the fact that I am a Persian, I need to be brushed. I haven't been brushed in a very LONG time! My dad call the Adams County SPCA today and asked them to find me a new home. Since we live in Adams County, they told my dad to bring me right in! Before my dad drove me to the shelter he tried to give me a quick haircut (with scissors) and because I was so matted, he cut my skin in several spots. Don't worry, the staff here was able to help me right away (just a few stitches). I now have a new haircut (it's pretty short) but it needed to be done. The staff assured me that it would grow back and I will be handsome once again.

I need to be in a quiet home with NO KIDS & NO DOG. This truth is I have been VERY traumatized from my last home. Sadly, I am declawed in the front. I am already neutered and today I tested negative for FELV/FIV, got all my shots, de-wormed, a microchip and flea treated. I am ready to find my forever family in a nice quiet home. If you are interested in meeting me please submit an application at the link below. Once it's approved the staff will contact you to set up an appointment so you can come and meet me. Hope to see you soon!
