RAMONA & SIMMONS: this bonded pair of 5 month old kittens is irresistible! The two were found at an unmanaged colony at Kensington. Both are playful cats: Simmons’ favorite sport is wrestling his sister, while Ramona’s favorite is wand toys and gymnastics-style jumps like Simone Biles! In the last clip, you can even see them getting some love from an adult resident cat at their foster home.
Simmons & Ramona need a loving home together. Can your home be their forever? Apply to adopt today! Visit the link in our instagram bio or https://www.greenstreetrescue.org/adoption_application/
🧡 ADOPTABLE PAIR 🧡 these two cuties are an inseparable mother/son pair, Danny and his mom. These cuties are *adoptable through @forgottencats not us* and we are sharing on behalf of a supporter who is currently fostering them. Danny is very attached to his mom and they’d like to avoid separating the pair if at all possible. These two are fully vetted and have been living in a loving foster home together.

FOSTERS NEEDED! We still need your help! We have two mama & kitten families that are still in need of an experienced foster home to care for the family while the kittens still need their mama. In fact, we had a mom & litter of EIGHT brought in Tuesday that has already gone to an amazing foster family (see the pics at the end of this reel). However, the need is great during kitten season. We need your assistance in order to be able to have the capacity to care for our cats and rescue more.

Green Street Rescue and Beanie’s dad are SO grateful for your generosity. We’ve raised $1000 on instagram (and nearly $400 on Facebook) to go toward Beanie’s veterinary bills. We will be fundraising for a few more days, and would very much appreciate your contributions, as Beanie’s unexpected veterinary expenses over the pay year cost her dad approximately $20k, and her ongoing monthly medication expense is approximately $250. Beanie’s dad cares deeply for her and we’d like to offer him support.
Did you miss our first post? Beanie is a sweet young calico who has experienced a number of health challenges since she was adopted. Her fever, cough and nasal congestion early on turned out to be a combination of calcivirus, feline herpes virus, bordatella, and an antibiotic resistant mycoplasma. X-rays revealed she had pneumonia. Two lobes of her lungs were collapsed and consolidating, and acute respiratory distress required to stay in the ER several times to stay save her life. She required month of medication, follow ups, bloodwork and chest x-rays to overcome her lower airway disease.
Her lung is still collapsed but she’s no longer symptomatic. She’s on a prescription diet to control digestive issues, she has a bad tooth that will need to be extracted in the spring, and she has feline aura facial pain syndrome, which means she needs to receive pain medicine two times a day indefinitely in order to eat comfortably.
Beanie loves to play, climb, and zoom, or she enjoys purring in her cat dad’s lap. She is an extremely affectionate cat who has been through so much. We thank you for anything you are willing to spare to help Beanie’s continued care and her cat dad to recoup these costs. Thank you!

Beanie is a sweet young calico kitty who loves playing with her toys and watching the birds outside. However, Beanie experienced a number of health challenges when she was first adopted, some still ongoing. From day 1 she had fleas, worms and her spay sutures were infected. If only things were that simple. Fever, cough and nasal congestion turned out to be a combination of calicivirus, feline herpes virus, bordatella, and an antibiotic resistant mycoplasma. Xrays revealed she had pneumonia. 2 lobes of her lung were collapsed. Acute respiratory distress required a stay in the ER several times to save her life. She required months of medications, follow ups, bloodwork, and chest Xrays to overcome her lower airway disease.
Her lung is still collapsed but she’s no longer symptomatic. She was always thin, and after an ultrasound she was given a special prescription diet to control her diarrhea. She is now a healthy 14 lbs!
Beanie loves to play, climb, and zoom, or she enjoys purring in her cat dad’s lap. She is one of the sweetest and most affectionate cats her dad has ever met, whether it is her cheerful good morning chirps, her sweet little nose kisses, or greeting him at the door when he comes in from outside.
Beanie has a bad tooth that may need to be extracted at her next visit in May. A CT of her head and a neurology exam revealed that she also has feline orafacial pain syndrome. She currently must receive pain medicine 2x a day indefinitely in order to eat comfortably.
The total cost of Beanie’s medical care in late 2021 - all of 2022 = approx $20k and is still being borne by her owner’s credit cards. Her ongoing monthly medication expense is approximately $250 and she will have several upcoming recheck appointments this year with her vet, dental, and neurology.
We want to help Beanie and her dad recover from these costs. If you or anyone you know would like to support Beanie financially or even just offer her a ride to/from the vet in the futu
