So no one told you life was gonna be this way...meet Rachel, apart of GREEN Street Rescue's foster program! Rachel was rescued along with her two kittens this summer and could not stop cuddling! Now that Rachel's two kittens were adopted, it's now this little lady's turn to find her FURRever home!

Rachel's foster writes: she is super sweet and friendly with everyone, but she's especially sweet to me :) She always greets me at the door when I come home and she follows me around everywhere, even to the bathroom!! She also likes to sleep right next to me even during naps so there's really never a lonely moment with her around. She's very affectionate and curious and rubs her face on everything!! She's gotten a lot more energetic in the past month or so and she loves to run around and play with her toys (especially the small mouse ones). She's also a big foodie and will make these really cute chirping noises when she smells food haha. She's an amazing cat and everyone who meets her falls in love with her instantly, I would love for her to find her forever home but I would definitely miss her tons!

We are excited to announce the beginning of our $10K FUNDRAISER Celebrating 10 YEARS OF LOVE AND RESCUE!

Green Street Rescue's adoption platform, Le Cat Cafe, is celebrating 10 years this Spring! Since Le Cat Cafe first opened their doors on March 9th of 2016, their team has helped find loving homes for thousands of homeless cats in Philadelphia.
To honor this milestone of 10 years of love and rescue, Green Street Rescue is officially launching our special anniversary fundraiser with a $10,000 goal to support our rescue efforts and to help us continue this work for years to come!

Green Street Rescue and Le Cat Cafe are feeling extra grateful for the amazing humans who rescued, fostered, and adopted kitties this year.
500+ rescues in the Philly area is paws-itively impressive—but turning so many of those into fur-ever homes is the real magic. Thanks to you, tiny kittens rescued from tough starts and wise older cats who waited patiently are ringing in the new year safe, warm, and very loved.
Angelo, Lady, Nightwish, Billabong, Lois, and so many more are sending purrs of thanks. Let’s keep the love (and the adoptions!) rolling into 2026

This is Katana. 💛
Just weeks ago, she was dumped and struggling to walk. We learned she has a genetic deformity that affects both her front legs. Today, she’s safe, loved, and showing us what resilience looks like in her foster home. Because of you, she got a second chance. Your donations made a difference.

Meet Anita! She needs-a FURREVER HOME!

If you've been to Le Cat Cafe earlier this year, you may have met this sassy gal guarding the front desk. Our chonky supervisor has since gone into a foster home and is having the best time! Dubbed Sweet Annie by her foster, Anita has become a cuddle bug! She loves making biscuits and waiting in the bathroom for you to get out of the shower. Anita loves bird watching and playing with toys. If it’s sunny outside you’ll find her laying in whatever ray of light she can find. If you sit down, she will be on your lap in less than 60 seconds.

Anita would do perfect in an adult-only home, without other pets. Anita is meant for the spotlight, and is not a fan of other felines.

Meet our musical foster, Patsy Klein! Patsy is a sweet, cuddly 6-year-old lady with tons of pizzazz who wants nothing more than for you to scratch her belly and nuzzle her face. Patsy Klein would prefer to be your one and only feline in the nest, though she does okay with calm dogs that don't get up in her business. She also does well with kids! “Have You Ever Been Lonely?” You’d be “Crazy” not to “Fall to Pieces” for this delightful tuxedo cat who is low-shedding and rarely goes “Walkin’ After Midnight.” Fill out an application to take this charming gal home today (she will even croon for fishy treats)!

It's time to meet GSR's chonkiest foster!

Meet STEVE! Steve is a charming, big man who loves all the attention he can get. Steve loves to show off his cuteness by showing off his big belly and loving purrs. Despite his size, Steve does loves to play and run around! Steve would do best by himself, for he is not fond of most cats. However, he loves all the humans he can find - Steve would do great with any number of humans in the house. Steve is a big fan of following you around, sleeping in bed with you, and being the sweetest cat ever.
