Yaqeen is a gentle soul with a soft, shy demeanor and a heart that reveals itself slowly, layer by layer. Her calico markings are especially striking, with a tail that almost mimics a tabby’s pattern—just one of the many ways she stands out in her own subtle way. And, don’t forget about those whiskers for days!
When Yaqeen first came into our care, even the gentlest attempt at a pet felt overwhelming to her. But with patience and kindness, she has blossomed beautifully. Today, while she’s still on the shy side, she greets familiar faces at the door, kneading blankets with happy little paws and politely asking for affection as she waits for her meal. Afterward, she enjoys relaxing in a cozy, elevated spot, calmly observing the antics of the other cats from a safe distance.
Yaqeen is looking for a peaceful home where she can continue to feel safe and loved. She’s the kind of cat who reminds you that trust is a gift—and earning it is incredibly rewarding. For someone willing to move at her pace, Yaqeen offers quiet companionship, gentle affection, and the deep joy that comes from watching a shy cat truly come into her own.
