At Green Street Rescue, we try to adopt kittens out in pairs to help with their development and socialization. Kittens adopted in pairs generally learn how to play, cuddle, and behave from each other better than they would learn these from a human or older cat.

This instructor-led class will offer modifications and variations throughout as well as time for meditation, savasana, and of course saying hello to cats that join you on the mats. Our friends at are hosting their Annual Winter Wonderland Photo Event this Sunday, December 3rd from 1-4pm at their Wellness Center! November 1st and 2nd mark the Mexican celebration of Día de Los Mu***os! During this time, people prepare altars called ofrendas with photographs and gifts to call forth their late loved-ones. In this spirit of commeMEWration, we wanted to make our own oFURenda for the kitties at we fought really hard to save.
We’re so proud of the hundreds of cats we heal and help to find their FURever homes every year. However, as a rescue we also face dark days and difficult decisions with kitties whose health take turns for the worst. It breaks our hearts whenever a kitty loses the good fight, especially since we work to give them the PURRadise of warm, loving homes. The saving grace is that we loved and cared for each of them until the very bitter end.
Based on data analysis of the past year, ~12% of Pennsylvania cat shelter intakes did not make it to find their FURever homes. Do you want to see Green Street Rescue lower those odds? Every resource we have allows us to save even more kitties and give them the full lives they deserve.
