Announcement! 📣
I’m happy to announce the winner of this years’s “Philipsburg’s Cutest Dog” contest is Sophie! Sophie raised over 200$ for the park and will be the face of this year’s dog park shirt so keep an eye out for the link when we have them designed soon! Thank-you to all who participated and I’m proud to say we raised over $350 for the park! Sophie is actually currently up for adoption and the people in charge of taking care for her had this message about Sophie!
"Sophie" is a four-year-old spayed Pit Bull that was surrendered. The previous owner wanted her euthanized, but there was something about her, so it was not done. We have learned that she has some behavioral issues around other dogs, so we insist that she remains an only child. However, she does go on walks with other dogs when everyone is leashed and under control. When she was surrendered, she had a severe urinary tract infection that was left untreated for a long period of time. This would cause a significant amount of pain. We do not believe that she had a great start to life. We have also learned that she gets very attached to the caretaker. Sophie loves walks, going for ice cream, and spending quality time with her keeper. She is desperately looking for that one person that can commit to her and that understands she has been through a lot at a young age. She will love you unconditionally and will only ask you to be patient and teach her, as she is eager to learn and please. Sophie is a beautiful girl and recently won a contest where she will be on a t-shirt, so you must be able to handle the fame. If you would like the opportunity to meet her and see if you are a match, please contact Olivia at 814-590-5834.
Please share this post and help her find her forever home!
