My buck from last bow season is complete!

Finally got last year's bow turkey on the wall!!
I've been planning and day dreaming this mount since I started turkey hunting a few years ago.
All my future beards will be hung on the arrow also 😁
Big thanks to the fiance for helping dremel the holes for the legs!!

One out of three bucks done and ready to go home. We have to much snow right now for outdoor pictures unfortunately.
Thinking my next deer will have to go on this style of form 🤔 really liking the head down look.

Two very different mount styles back to back.
One is a semi sneak and the other aggressive. They both go to the same home since it's husband and wife's animals. It's my first time with the aggressive form, it'll look really impressive when it's hanging up above eye level.
Also got some new lights by the work space, no details will be missed now 💡🦌

Saved my own for last.
Got creative with the ears and went with a half back/forward look.
It really added some movement to the over all mount.
I have to so finishing work on all the deer yet, just waiting for them to dry now.

It's the end of January and I'm mounting deer one of three 😳 might have to cut back next year!
This is my very first time making my own ear buts out of clay. My last few times of doing anything other then forward facing ears I was left very disappointed. I was using these plastic formed ear butts. This time I took it into my own hands and I'm VERY happy with the outcome so far.

The work continues!
I'm waiting on whitener to finish two deer skulls and apoxie sculpt to finish the two bear shoulder mounts. Hoping by next weekend to finish all that.
I will be mounting the buck pictured in about 2 weeks, have another buck coming and one more head to boil.
Have to mount my own yet but need to order supplies, what a season!!

Head number 5 out of six in the pot today.
I ran out of bleach powder for whitening heads so I'll be about a week and a half for finished pics of the latest two.
I'll also be finishing bears next week.

Bear #2 freshly mounted.
I'm also still working on two bear skulls to match, I'm learning how incredibly hard they are to clean due to grease inside the bone.

Bear #1 freshly mounted.
This one had many many holes and looong skinning cuts in the chest area. Got him patched and beautiful though!
He needs some air brushing around the eyes do to skin slip but that will come later 🐻

This season is really firing up! I have two bear shoulder mounts and will be European mounting the skulls of the same bears, 2 deer European mounts, my own bow harvest that I'll be doing a shoulder mount of, and a fan display with feet of my first turkey harvest from this spring.
I'm sure there will be more to come!

SO happy with the outcome of this life size fox. This is only the 3rd time I've mounted something on a full form and I couldn't he happier.
