Pirouetting through Monday to get to Tutu-Tuesday. Arizona Animal Welfare League & SPCA is closed today so my furrens and I are preparing for the final week of the adoption event. Ahhh… we’ve rolled on to Sunday. There’s a week left of the adoption event. I’m so happy for my furrens that have found their hoomans. Fit is everything and trust me (after all, I’m 10 years young) there is a furkid for everyone - yes, even cats. I’m a mellow girl - the kind that you chat with and tell secrets to, the navigator for car rides that will never judge your music taste or karaoke binges, the sleeping buddy that understands space and that body heat isn’t great in Arizona. If we haven’t met, my name is 💜Maya💜, and I’m looking for my person or persons to call home.

Gotta love when your Fo-mama throws a shoutout in the comments section! I’m going to take a moment to thank all of the wonderful hoomans (staff & volunteers) that work hard to make sure that we are taken care of in every way! They feed us, clean us, comfort us, and advocate for us in every way possible. With this summer’s temps in the super hot levels. I want to especially say thank you from me and my furrens at Arizona Animal Welfare League & SPCA and all the surrounding area shelters for doing the amazing job they do day in and day out. 💜 Maya 💜

Have you heard ???

Tomorrow is the first day of the BISSELL Pet Foundation's Empty the Shelters event! All pets 1yr+ at our main shelter (25 N. 40th St. Phoenix) have sponsored adoption fees through July 31st, which means you can take them home for FREE! We don't require appointments, so feel free to stop by and meet a few furry friends!

A little tid bit from my foster mom… it’s a hard “no” to fursiblings, but fish are okay… there’s only enough room for 1 diva in this tub. And baths in Arizona are refreshing - Rainbows included.

This guest appearance was quite the adventure! I would love to go on more!!!

Maya has spent the past six months watching potential adopters pass her by, barely giving her a second glance. Six months hoping that each day is the day that she finally gets to go home.

Maya spent the first 10 years of her life in a home and came to AAWL because her family could no longer care for her. She is friendly, potty trained, well-behaved, and low-maintenance. We know that she will easily fit right in with her furever family as if she was there all along. We absolutely adore Maya and are so heartbroken that people haven't given her a proper chance to show them how great she is.

Please help us find Maya's furever family by sharing this post! We know they are out there, we just need some help!

We are SHOCKED that Maya is still at the shelter! This 10-year-old shepherd mix is one of the sweetest pups around. Maya is an easy-going dog who enjoys just hanging out. She loves to give kisses, sniff around on walks, and will happily lead you to the coolest flowers on your path.

Hi Friends - Thank you for following me on my adventure to find hoomans of my very own. Please share my profile with others! A little about me: I'm 10 years old - but you know what they say 10 is the new 3. A friend suggested I mention how much I weigh: 74 lbs light. I'm the best listener, a scholar in basic commands, and a top-rated house-sitter. Since I'm more seasoned than most, I prefer to be the only furkid in the family. Middle-sized (middle school +) hoomans are great! Since I'm new to this whole social media and blog gig, I'd love any feedback or questions you think would help me find my people. Have I missed anything so far?
