I have resorted to moving him in a tote when ever I work on his enclosure because he will not leave me alone if the enclosure is open. I feel bad because he doesn't like the small perimeters, but works gotta get done.

I don't hold my retics unless they say so. If they start pushing on the glass towards me after I enter a room, then I know it's time to explore. Don't have to deactivate food mode, because their intentions are elsewhere when they do this. It's just their routine.
Such a simple morph, but such a beautiful pattern. Love this little girl. She is very observant too. You can see her think before she acts. My other retics just automatically think it's food time when I open the door.

Weird post but I never see anyone talk about it lol...
These are imprints of my monitors scales from her just chilling in my arms for 15 minutes.
My female adult black bintan is so socialable. I hold her like a baby and she stays put in my arms.
Don't have to pick her up, she will climb into my arms when I open the cage🥰

Next time I will actually be prepared and film it haha

So the last monitor in the house that was holding out on letting me tong-feed has finally accepted a meal from my hands! The little male has got a lot of courage by watching the female interact with me. The next couple of months will be really smooth taming for him.

With advice going to give her treatment for her chin that she bashed when I moved her into this new enclosure.

She has so much going on in her mind to know she's being treated. She let me hand pick wood out of her mouth for 30 min today. She easily got trained this morning to rub her face on some artificial grass to gently ease herself so she won't get more wood in her lips.

Like I always say, wild caught are worth it. I am getting if not more, cooperation from this monitor than I do from my CB adult monitor (when it comes to touching the face and inside mouth) always has imports for anyone. Hit him up because like I will prove any day, wild caught are worth their life just as much as a captive bred. You just need research to properly tame your animals ♥

She flipped a switch after the drink treatise and is back to where I had her.

I didn't realise how phaat that rock thing was gonna be so now I have to build a tall shelf or find a different stock tank. But for now it's a black container for water. Not asthetic...

Shop update: My baby water monitor imports are doing great all 3 awms tong feed and accept all food coming to them. The quince monitors accept food if I leave it out on a dish but aren't as gluttonous as AWMs, and leave some food in the dish. They been getting their vitamins and staying on a healthy path to beefing up.
