EEP ๐ฆ & BONK ๐ฆ are two conures we just can't get enough of! Ever since they arrived at the rescue, they've brought so much joy, laughter, and personality ๐๐.
Unfortunately, EEP had a little accident ๐ค in which the tip of his beak broke off! But does that stop him? Absolutely NOT! ๐ This little guy is still as happy and mischievous as ever ๐.
He adapted so quickly! He eats and drinks without a problem ๐๐ฅญ. The only thing? If a piece of food is too big, he just kicks it out like a tiny, feathery soccer star โฝ๐.

When Kaylee first came here, she didn't know what was going on ๐. However, we quickly showed her that we loved her โค๏ธ. Soon, she started accepting head scratches ๐ฅฐ and cuddles ๐ค. However, she had some sort of a block or fear ๐จ that made her scared of stepping up ๐๏ธ.
First, we waited for her to feel completely comfortable ๐ with us and her environment ๐ฟ. Then, some of our volunteers started putting up their arms covered with their sweater ๐งฅ. Since she had a fear of skin, she was more willing to go over to a hand when it was covered โโก๏ธ๐๏ธ.
Suddenly, she actually stepped up! ๐ You can see how excited she gets about it in the video ๐น. Pretty soon, she was willing to climb all over us ๐งโโ๏ธ, and is now a full-time cuddler ๐คฃ๐.

Exciting Rescue Update! ๐ฆโจ
This past Friday, we rescued eight birds from an apartment in Arizona ๐ต. Among them were seven cockatiels ๐ถ.
When we asked if they were friendly, their previous owner mentioned that only two had shown some friendliness.
But within just a few days, we saw their true personalities shine! ๐ Several of them eagerly moved to the front of the cage, and before long, they were stepping up one by one.
And thenโone let me give them head scratches! ๐ฒ๐ WOW.

๐บ๐ธPatriot is a comedic Goffins Cockatoo who loves to cuddle๐ค, but can't seem to concentrate enough to fully enjoy it. Every little sound๐คซ that he hears, he jumps up in a full alert๐จ and turns his head to see what it is.

Gizmo ๐ฆ is an energetic Eclectus Parrot who is always getting into trouble! ๐ He has absolutely no fear ๐ฑ, so oftentimes he will jump down from very high places โฌ๏ธ or walk into a bigger bird's cage ๐ that he really shouldn't bother. ๐ฌ
He usually gets away without a scratch โจ, but it looks like he must have fallen too hard this time. ๐ We first noticed his limp a few days ago. ๐ข Today, we took him to the vet ๐ฅ to get some x-rays done. ๐ฉป
Luckily, his bones look good! ๐ So we're going to put him on some painkillers ๐ and give him some good old-fashioned rest. ๐๏ธ Hope he feels better soon! โค๏ธโ๐ฉน
