Some of you may remember Quill.I.Am who came to us just after Christmas! He was barely 200 grams upon rescue intake but now that he’s on a proper kibble mix and has been getting some extra wet food and proteins he finally hit 300 grams! Yay!! I can’t wait for him to gain just a little more weight then he can get introduced to a wheel for the first time in his life after 3 years of never having one 🥺 he’s such a sweet boy! I’m so glad he got into our care ❤️

If all stays going well, he will be posted to our website for applications 🤍 but that will probably not be for a while!

All in stock items are heavily reduced in order to make room for new products!

Cuddle cubes are regularly $40 but are currently $30 and snuggle sacks that are usually $15 are only $10! Those prices include shipping as well but they do offer local pickup (north Peoria).

Happy New Year from Huff N' Puff Hedgehog Rescue 🎆🦔

We want to thank everyone who has supported our rescue this year! While we were a bit slower this year/took some breaks, we still helped out 14 hedgehogs in need this year! Woohoo!! Special mentions to Patricia & Sugar, may they rest peacefully, they are so missed 🌈

Everyone meet Quill.I.Am 🤍

This little guy is not a baby believe it or not! He is about 3/4 years old but weighs only 234 grams 🥹

We just took him in this evening, he will be with us for a minimum a month while he gains some necessary grams and evaluate his health 🫶🏻❤️

Albert goes to his quillever home today! Huff N' Puff Hedgehog Rescue wants to wish you all a happy holiday! ❤️ We thank you all for all the love and support we've gotten this year, even though we had to take a small break. Our rescue has a couple more spots open for hedgehogs in need, if you are needing to make the tough decision to surrender your beloved pokey pal. We're here to help!

Our rescue will be "CLOSED" until the 26th, if you are having an emergency and need to contact us, please message our page, otherwise all other inquiries will be will be responded to once we're back 🦔🐾

Albert says "Bath? R u kidding me? I worked so hard on my p**p crown!"

Little Albert must think his p**ps are extra enticing now that hes on a better diet! So much he anointed and spread it all over his head and butt 🥲🤢

He is going to his quillever home tomorrow and we are so happy for him! We are also getting another intake next Saturday if plans dont change 🤍

ALSO! Our rescue will be "closed" from the 23rd to the 26th to spend time with our loved ones! We will catch up on any inquiries after the holiday ❤️

After taking a short break to recharge and regroup, we are thrilled to announce that we are now slowly accepting rescue intakes again! 🦔🤍 We’ve had some time to create more space and dedicate the attention these amazing little creatures deserve, and we can’t wait to help more hedgehogs in need! One of our previous rescue babies, Dolly, is staying with us for a bit while her family is out of town 🤍 wanted to share an update of how much she’s grown! She’s understandably a bit grumpy at the moment, but we got her a nice bath and nail trim so she’s all ready for her stay here 🫶🏻 now to get her to relax and socialize with us 🥰🤍

**Update! Unfortunately this sweet girl passed away overnight. We checked in on her before bed and again at 4:30 this morning and she had passed.

It’s never easy experiencing loss and in rescue, we see it more often than usual. Give your lap cacti extra loves today!

Meet Sugar! The newest rescue intake. She was surrendered yesterday after her owner realized something was wrong and made the best decision for Sugar.

She presented with a very distended and super hard belly and is very slow at walking.

We tried to get her to eat last night but she wasn’t interested.

Took her to the vet and he thinks it’s likely a mass 😢. We are treating with antibiotics, anti parasitic and a steroid in the off chance that it’s either an infection or a parasite of some sort. If we don’t see any improvement in a few days, we will have to make a tough decision.

Keep your fingers crossed that Sugar improves and we can give her a fighting chance.

Lucy is available! She has proven to be shy but sweet. She will eat right out of your hand if given the opportunity and she plays vampire when presented with live worms.

Lucy is approx 4 years old and is ready for her quillever home.

If you are interested in adopting her, please send us a message. Adopters will be reviewed for the best option for her.

Her adoption fee is $50. We also have full setups available if you’d like to purchase everything to make her comfortable.
